The reason Kylie Jenner wore a ‘bizarre’ wedding dress outfit to the 2022 Met Gala has been explained.
The ‘self-made billionaire’ turned up to the event wearing a ruffled floor-length white gown, paired with a matching backwards baseball cap and fishnet veil.
Emblazoned across her chest was the word ‘OFF,’ which means it was designed by late Off-White founder, Virgil Abloh.

The fashion designer, who was also a Louis Vuitton creative director, tragically passed away last year, aged 41, after a two-year battle with cancer.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Jenner explained to her 334million followers that she wore the dress to celebrate his ‘incredible legacy’.
She penned: “Virgil and I were supposed to go to the Met together before it got postponed in 2020. To celebrate V tonight and his incredible legacy truly means the world to me. I’m humbled to wear this dress and honour my talented, beautiful friend.
“We felt you tonight Virgil and love you forever and thank you to the entire @off____white team!!”

Although it didn’t fit this year’s Met Gala theme of gilded glamour, Vogue magazine praised the tribute outfit and said it showed off a ‘great American talent’.
The fashion bible wrote: “By wearing a wedding gown to the Met – and making it youthful, graphic and wholly unexpected – Jenner channelled the irreverent spirit that Abloh perfected throughout his career. It was a classy tribute to one of the greatest American talents in fashion.”
However, fans of Jenner took to Twitter and admitted that they weren’t keen on the look.
One tweeted: “Cute story but she could [have] wore it another night because it wasn’t giving on this one.”
In agreement, a second said: “The dress isn’t even bad, it’s the bloody hat. It just looks absolutely ridiculous and cheapens the dress.”
