Former adult film star Lana Rhoades now has a successful career as a content creator and entrepreneur but things weren’t always smooth sailing for the star, who once did time in prison.
Rhoades, 26, was brought up in Chicago, Illinois, and she’s said that while growing up, she got into the wrong crowd.
The influencer has claimed that she had a boyfriend who ended up leading her astray, with her eventually ending up doing time in juvenile prison.
However, Rhoades has now reflected on this period of her life and said on the Call Her Daddy podcast that it ‘was probably the best thing that ever happened to me’.

Why did Lana Rhoades go to prison?
During an appearance on Logan Paul and Mike Majlak’s ImPaulsive podcast, Rhoades said she spent time in prison because she was used by a gang who robbed houses, as she was small enough to fit through windows.
On the Tap In podcast, the content created also told reality TV star Harry Jowsey: “I was guilty by association.
“I had a boyfriend, in Chicago because the gang violence is so bad, if you are with people who are committing crimes and there are more than four people, then you are all charged with the same thing.
“Under some gang act. They were robbing houses, stealing things, and I was along for the ride.
“I was charged, I spent a year in prison as a juvenile, I was supposed to be there until I was 21 years old.”
She added: “I never took anything, I never made a penny off it.
“I was small, I was the only girl and so they would put me in the window and I would unlock the door for them to let them in.”
How long was Lana Rhoades in prison?
The influencer spent a year in juvenile prison.
During her time there, Rhoades ended up having relationships with other women, despite having a boyfriend when she first arrived.
On the Tap In podcast, the former adult star revealed that she wrote love letters and kissed other female inmates.
She recalled: “I had a couple of girlfriends.
“Being only 16, I had never been exposed to this and it was my first time in that environment.
“I remember I had a boyfriend when I went to prison and I was like no I don’t like girls, but, slowly, because everyone around you is engaging in lesbian contact and lesbian relationships, it just starts to become the norm.
“If everyone else in the community around you is doing a certain thing or acting a certain way, everyone tends to convert to that at least while they are in that environment.”
