Mom Of Little Girl Found Trapped In Own Bed After Nine-Day Search Gave Home Interview With Daughter’s Body In Bedroom
The mom of a little girl who was later discovered trapped in her own bed gave a home interview during the nine-day search, unaware that her daughter was there all along.
When four-year-old Paulette Gebara Farah was reported missing from her home in 2010, the devastating case quickly became a national tragedy.
After an extensive nine-day search for the young girl, her body was eventually found in her own bed, despite a thorough search of the family house and its surroundings.
They lived in Huixquilucan, a suburb of Mexico City, but their family home quickly became a reminder of their greatest loss.

The night Paulette Gebara Farah went missing
The enormous search effort gripped the nation for well over a week, but it’s the questions raised after her body was found, that drew in even more attention.
Her parents, businessman Mauricio Gebara and lawyer Lisette Farah, informed police that they had put their four-year-old to bed the night before she went missing.
By the next morning, she had disappeared, and the family pleaded with the public for anyone who might have taken her, to bring her home.
It’s estimated that 100 police officers searched the family’s home, including her bedroom, and sniffer dogs investigated the 10-meter room.
But somehow, they all missed what was hidden in plain sight.
The four-year-old was eventually found, and investigators discovered her body wedged between the mattress and the bed frame at the foot of her bed, wrapped in sheets.
How did Paulette Gebara Farah die?
A coroner ruled that Paulette had died from suffocation, and they determined that her body had not been moved after the time she died.
The investigation concluded that the four-year-old died after accidentally falling into the space between her mattress and the bed frame, and suffocated on the same day she went missing.

How did police miss Paulette Gebara Farah’s body after the search?
When questioned on how police and sniffer dogs failed to find and recover Paulette’s body from her bed, officials noted that they had been concentrating their search efforts outside the home.
The fumbled investigation prompted widespread outrage across Mexico.
Mexico state Attorney General, Alberto Bazbaz, admitted that the team regretted ‘not having searched the child’s bed and bedroom fully.’
What has Paulette Gebara Farah’s mom said?
Paulette lived with her parents (Gebara and Farah) her older sister Lisette, and two nannies, Erika and Martha Casimiro.
Attorney General Bazbaz initially declared the girl had been murdered, and both parents were placed under house arrest during the investigation.
After the grim discovery, her parents were never charged.
But it’s safe to say that her tragic death fractured the Gebara family.
Her parents separated, and a custody battle began for their surviving daughter.

Gebara asserted that, despite the investigation, Paulette’s death was not accidental.
Prior to the discovery of Paulette in her bed, mom Farah was of the opinion that she had been taken.
In a TV interview, she said: “In front of the house where we live, there’s the elevator that leads to the parking lot, right in front of the main door, and that could have been an alternative exit for whoever took her in the early hours.”
Speaking about the night before her daughter’s disappearance in another interview, the mom said: “The nanny came here to help us because Paulette can’t do many things by herself.
“She put her [Paulette’s] pajamas on, I gave her a blessing, a good night kiss.
“Then she disappeared.”
It’s been reported that the little one’s two nannies were the people to discover her body.
