Strict Rules Of Britain’s Biggest Swingers Festival As Thousands Set To Attend This Week
Strict rules that thousands of people attending Britain’s biggest swingers festival have to follow.
Swingathon is the U.K.’s biggest adult alternative-lifestyle festival, described as a ‘swingers festival’ which celebrates an array of kinks and fetishes within different communities.
The annual three-day festival is located in the small village of Allington in Lincolnshire, and this year will celebrate its decade milestone.

The event pulls in like-minded people from across the country, and tickets cost £210 for individuals or £250 per couple.
Visitors can camp onsite and have full use of the facilities.
In previous years, the festival has included a variety of entertainment such as ‘play tents,’ hot tubs, foam parties, mobile dungeons, pole‑dancing, drag acts, comedy, and even ‘b*tt‑plug bingo.’
The organizers of Swingathon say: “We are an adult alternative lifestyle event for all like-minded individuals and support the LGBTQ+ community and those in the Fet/Kink industry.”

The open-minded festival encourages people to enjoy themselves without judgment, but the organisers have created strict rules for those attending.
These rules are to ensure safety, privacy, consent, and a respectful environment for all attendees.
To keep people’s privacy, rules are set in place for the use of cameras and phones inside the event.
There is ’strictly no pictures or filming inside the arena.’
Swingathon states: “You may take pictures of yourselves in your own tent area, and we also have an area specifically for pictures. But do not take any pictures of any other festivalgoers without consent.”
“If you need an exemption and wish to keep your phone with you, then stickers will be available to cover cameras at the entrance.
“Any persons seen with a phone without camera stickers by staff or security will be asked to leave the arena and/or festival.”
The festival does have a ‘private content area,’ but those who want to avoid being on camera are told to stay clear.

Next up is dress code. Festivals across the world are an outlet for people to express themselves, and many do that through clothes.
At Swingathon, anything goes; visitors are encouraged to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.’
For some at the festival, they chose to enjoy their time without wearing anything.
The adult-alternative lifestyle festival says: “For some, this is no more than a pair of wellies.
“For others, it’s a full-on inflatable dinosaur outfit. There is usually a mix of everything from birthday suits to club wear/fetish wear or onesies.”

The main rule Swingathon is incredibly strict about is that you must be verified before you can attend.
To access the event, organisers confirmed that you are ‘active within the lifestyle’ as a swinger and ‘have a deep understanding of what the festival is about.’
If you are part of online swingers platforms, they will ask for your profile to verify that you are part of the community.
People can also attend the festival if they are recommended by a ‘trusted regular attendee’ or have a membership with certain clubs.
Although Swingathon does state: “This is not an exhaustive list and we do understand that you can be in the lifestyle and not be a member of any of the aforementioned platforms.”
The festival states that if that’s the case, people have to contact the organization, which is to keep those visiting the festival safe.
The event operates on a consent-first culture, with no touching, filming, or engaging with anyone without clear mutual agreement.
Swingathon also has security teams, and ‘safeguarding officers’ are on-site to handle complaints or unwanted behavior.
