Lisa Marie Presley’s cause of death has officially been confirmed.

Presley, 54, was a renowned singer and songwriter, and not only a talented artist but also the beloved only child of the legendary Elvis Presley.

Tragically, the star died on January 12, 2023, hours after being hospitalised.

Presley’s cause of death has now finally been disclosed.

The LA County Coroner’s Office has now shared that Presley’s passing resulted from a small bowel obstruction.

According to TMZ, the precise medical term for the condition is the sequelae of small bowel obstruction, indicating that she died due to complications arising from this obstruction.

At the time of Presley’s death, it was reported that she had died from cardiac arrest.

It is important to note that the details provided are not the complete report, as toxicology results are still pending and expected to be released at a later date.

At the beginning of this year Presley’s mother, Priscilla, in her profound grief, shared the heartbreaking news of her daughter’s passing.

In an emotional statement, she said: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.

“She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”

Just two days prior to her untimely demise, Presley made her final public appearance at the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills.

She attended the event alongside her friend Austin Butler, who portrayed her father, Elvis, in a film about his life.

Little did anyone know that this would be her last public outing.

A public memorial was held to honour the late star on January 22.

Graceland, the iconic mansion in Memphis, Tennessee, served as the gathering place for hundreds of mourners.

It was a solemn occasion filled with heartfelt speeches and moving performances by renowned artists like Axl Rose and Alanis Morissette.

Graceland is also the final resting place of Presley’s son, Benjamin Keough, who tragically took his own life in 2020 aged 27.

In more recent developments, Priscilla and Riley Keough, Presley’s daughter, have resolved the legal tensions surrounding the late star’s will.

Following Presley’s passing, there were reports of conflicts among her loved ones regarding changes made to her trust.

Lisa Marie Presley has left behind a lasting legacy, as well as her 34-year-old daughter Riley and her twins, Harper and Finley Lockwood, who are currently 14 years old.
