Margot Robbie has said that leaked photos from the upcoming film Barbie had a ‘mortifying’ effect on the cast.
The Wolf of Wall Street star appeared on The Tonight Show and opened up about the images of her and co-star Ryan Gosling wearing neon lycra outfits going viral.
Chatting to host Jimmy Fallon, Robbie said: “I can’t tell you how mortified we were, by the way.

“We look like we’re like laughing and having fun, but we’re dying on the inside. Dying. I was like, this is the most humiliating moment of my life.”
When Robbie was then asked whether she thought the leaked Barbie photos would get the reaction they did, she responded: “No! I mean, I knew that we had some exteriors to shoot in LA. I knew once you were doing exteriors, you’re gonna get tapped.

“There’s probably going to be a little crowd of people who are going to take notice because, you know, we stand out a little bit in those outfits.
“So I knew there was going to be a little bit of attention, and probably some photos would get out there, but not like it did.”
She added: “It was like mad. It was like hundreds of people watching all time.”
This isn’t the first time that Robbie has opened up about the Barbie movie.
Previously, the Australian actress told The Hollywood Reporter that it won’t be anything like fans are expecting it to be.

Robbie explained: “We like the things that feel a little left of centre. Something like Barbie where the IP, the name itself, people immediately have an idea of, ‘Oh, Margot is playing Barbie, I know what that is’, but our goal is to be like, ‘Whatever you’re thinking, we’re going to give you something totally different – the thing you didn’t know you wanted’.”
Barbie is set to drop in cinemas on July 21, 2023.
