Authorities Release Official Cause Of Death In Case Of Three Missing Sisters
The official causes of death for the three young sisters who were found dead after vanishing while visiting their father have reportedly been confirmed.
32-year-old Travis Decker is accused of killing three young girls.
His three daughters, Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5, left home for a ‘planned visitation’ with Decker on May 30.
The Wenatchee Police Department confirmed that the three children were found dead in Decker’s vehicle.
The abandoned vehicle was found close to the Rock Island Campground in Chelan County, Washington, but ‘Decker was not located,’ according to a police statement.

Police issued an appeal for help finding Decker, who they said is very knowledgeable about wilderness survival.
They warned he might be able to spend days or weeks in the wilderness and go off grid with little equipment.
Decker’s father told police his son has been known to go and live ‘off grid’ for up to 2.5 months at a time.
Morrison continued: “We will not rest until we have located him. He can be anywhere within the nation, so that’s why we have our federal partners on scene helping us bring in additional resources.”
Decker had been living homeless in his vehicle or campgrounds in the run up to the killings.
Morrison warned: “Travis, if you’re listening, this is your opportunity to turn yourself in, do the right thing, do what you need to do and take accountability for your actions. We’re not going to rest, and we’re going to make sure we find you. You will be brought to justice, those young ladies deserve it.”
Decker’s ex-wife has told police he was diagnosed with a ‘borderline personality disorder that she believes he currently does not take medications for.’
ABC News obtained court documents that revealed horrifyingly grisly details about what happened to the little girls.

It stated that the children were found with a plastic bag over each of their heads, and their wrists were zip-tied, and they were reported to have been suffocated.
Police found zip ties and plastic bags ‘strewn throughout the area,’ surrounding the vehicle, and ‘two hand prints of blood,’ were found on the truck.
In a press release shared with People magazine on June 9, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office confirmed an autopsy was completed by a medical examiner on June 6.
“The cause of death was determined to be suffocation and the manner of death was determined to be homicide,” the release states.
Officials now believe they have found the remains of Decker after a three-month manhunt.
Speaking to People before allegedly finding his body, Sheriff Mike Morrison said: “I would imagine most likely if he were to have died, it would’ve been from falling; an injury maybe got infected to the point where it did cause him, you know, some further issues or he drowned.
“There’s certainly a lot of possibilities and if we do find him deceased, of course we’re going to do a full autopsy on him just to get confirmation on his cause of death.”
