One of Baba Vanga‘s 2025 prophecies has ‘come true,’ just days into the new year.

The blind mystic, known as the ‘Nostradamus of the Balkans,’ has long been credited with foreseeing significant global events, spanning from the rise of Vladimir Putin to the September 11 attacks.

While some of her forecasts remain disputed, Baba Vanga’s followers find chilling relevance in her alleged 2025 prophecy, which speaks of widespread destruction and natural calamities.

Among the blind mystic’s alleged eerie predictions, there was a warning of massive earthquakes along the U.S. West Coast.

Although there hasn’t been an earthquake, the unprecedented wildfires in Los Angeles have similarly wreaked havoc on the region, leaving many to wonder if her foresight encompassed these events.

The world is currently watching in horror as wildfires ravage the Californian city, which has already claimed at least five lives, destroyed thousands of homes and businesses, and forced the evacuation of over 100,000 residents.

The wildfires began unexpectedly in early January, a period traditionally considered outside California’s typical fire season.

Scientists attribute the outbreak to the state’s warming climate, which has increased the availability of fire-prone vegetation throughout the year, per SBS.

The National Weather Service had issued its highest alert for extreme fire conditions, citing low humidity, dry vegetation, and strong Santa Ana winds as contributing factors.

These elements combined to create the ‘perfect storm’ for disaster.

The wildfires’ scale and rapid spread have overwhelmed emergency services.

The most destructive of these, the Palisades fire, escalated from an eight-hectare blaze to consuming over 6,500 hectares in mere hours.

This inferno, described as the most destructive fire in Los Angeles history, has reached the Pacific Ocean, devastating entire neighborhoods, including the affluent Pacific Palisades area.

Other fires, such as the Eaton fire and the Hurst fire, have compounded the crisis.

The Hurst fire alone grew to over 4,200 hectares within a day, while the Eaton fire’s flames consumed thousands of hectares in Pasadena.

Adding to the chaos, a brush fire erupted near Runyon Canyon in the Hollywood Hills, forcing evacuations from iconic locations like the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Kristin Crowley, Los Angeles City fire chief, described the magnitude of the fires as ‘stretching the capacity of emergency services to their maximum limits.’

Crews from across the U.S. have been deployed to assist in firefighting efforts while water supply shortages have also hindered containment efforts.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power noted that critical water tanks in the Palisades area were exhausted within hours of the fire’s onset.

Experts highlight that urban water systems are not designed to combat wildfires of this magnitude, leaving emergency responders struggling to keep up with the escalating crisis.

Experts urge caution in attributing the fires to mysticism, instead emphasizing the role of climate change.

California’s fire season has grown significantly longer due to rising temperatures and drier conditions.

Lindon Pronto, a fire management expert, explained: “The average number of days per year where the vegetation is very available for fire has doubled since the 1980s.”

This year-round fire risk is becoming a new norm, with devastating consequences for communities and ecosystems.

The wildfires can be seen both as a fulfillment of Baba Vanga’s alleged prophecy and a stark warning of climate change’s consequences.
