Chilling Footage Reveals What ICE Agent Said After Fatally Shooting Renee Good
Chilling footage has revealed what the ICE agent said after fatally shooting Renee Good.
Newly released footage has intensified national outrage following the fatal shooting of the 37-year-old by an ICE agent in Minneapolis last week.
The incident that shook Minneapolis
On January 7, Good, a 37-year-old mom of three and a US citizen, was shot dead while sitting in the driver’s seat of her SUV in Minneapolis.
The incident occurred amid a heightened presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the city, part of a broader nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration ordered by the Trump administration.
Good had just dropped her six-year-old son at school and was seated in her vehicle when ICE agents surrounded her.
Video footage shows multiple officers shouting commands for her to exit the car. Moments later, two gunshots rang out, ending her life.

Who is the shooter?
The ICE agent who fired the fatal shots has been identified as 43-year-old Jonathan Ross, a veteran member of ICE’s special response team with more than a decade of service.
Ross has previously testified to serving as a firearms trainer and leading multi-agency teams involving federal bodies such as the FBI.
Despite public speculation, officials confirmed that Ross was not hired during the most recent surge of ICE deployments that began in August 2025 under Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. He was already an established officer within the agency.
Footage from the scene shows Ross moving around Good’s SUV, filming the vehicle and its registration plate as other agents yelled at her to get out. The confrontation escalated rapidly, ending with Ross firing two shots into the vehicle.
In the days following the shooting, Ross’ father, 80-year-old Ed Ross, spoke publicly to defend his son.
Describing Jonathan Ross as a ‘tremendous’ man, Ed Ross insisted the shooting was justified.
“She hit him,” he said. “You would never find a nicer, kinder person. He’s a committed, conservative Christian, a tremendous father, a tremendous husband. I couldn’t be more proud of him.”
Ed Ross also claimed with certainty that his son would not face criminal charges, reinforcing the position later echoed by senior political figures.

Political leaders speak out
Vice President JD Vance has been among the most vocal defenders of Ross.
Speaking to reporters, Vance described Renee Good’s death as a ‘tragedy of her own making,’ asserting that the officer had been assaulted and injured in the line of duty.
“This is a guy who’s actually done a very, very important job for the United States of America,” Vance said. “He’s been assaulted, he’s been attacked, he’s been injured because of it. He deserves a debt of gratitude.”
Vance went further, stating unequivocally that Ross would not face prosecution. “That guy is protected by absolute immunity,” he said. “He was doing his job.”
President Donald Trump also defended the shooting, characterizing Good’s actions as an ‘act of domestic terrorism’ and blaming the ‘radical left’ for what he described as a climate of violence against law enforcement.

“We need to stand by and protect our law enforcement officers,” Trump said, adding that they are ‘just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE.’
As political leaders debate legality and immunity, Renee Good’s family is mourning the loss of a woman they describe as deeply compassionate and selfless.
“Renee’s taken care of people all her life,” her family said in a tribute. “She was loving, forgiving and affectionate. She was an amazing human being.”
Good was raising three children, including a young son whose father died in 2023. Her family says her death has left an unfillable void.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has taken a starkly different stance from the White House, calling the shooting ‘totally avoidable’ and ‘reckless,’ and warning of the dangers of unchecked federal power.
Jonathan Ross’ charges
Under Minnesota law, deadly force is permitted only when a reasonable officer would believe it necessary to protect themselves or others from death or serious bodily harm. Federal standards closely mirror this threshold.
While federal prosecutors technically have the authority to bring charges against law enforcement officers in fatal shooting cases, the bar is extremely high.

Prosecutors would need to prove that Ross knowingly acted with reckless disregard for Good’s life, a standard that is notoriously difficult to meet.
Additionally, federal officers are generally shielded from civil lawsuits unless they clearly violate a constitutional right.
According to Vice President Vance and other administration officials, Ross’ actions fall within the scope of his official duties, granting him absolute immunity from prosecution.
Renee Good’s final moments
Several clips of the incident have circulated widely online, drawing intense scrutiny. In one of the most chilling moments, Good can be heard speaking directly to Ross just before she was killed.
“That’s fine, dude,” she said calmly. “I’m not mad at you.”
Seconds later, Ross fired the shots that killed her.
A dog was visible in the back seat of Good’s SUV during the incident, though reports confirm the animal was unharmed.
After the shooting, newly released audio captures Ross referring to Good with a profanity, calling her a ‘f***ing b****,’ a moment that has further fueled public anger and calls for accountability.
