Dad Forced Friend To Dig His Own Grave After Learning What He Did To His Daughter

A father in Russia took justice into his own hands after discovering the horrific crime his friend had committed.
In 2020, Vyacheslav Matrosov discovered that something unspeakable had happened involving his then-close friend Oleg Sviridov.
The crime involved Vyacheslav’s daughter, who was just six years old.
Vyacheslav Matrosov’s wife returns home to brutal fight
In August 2020, Matrosov’s wife, Natalya, returned to the family home in the village of Pribrezhnoye to find her husband and Sviridov fighting. Natalya would later describe her husband as ‘hysterical’ during the fight.
“I had never seen him like that,” Natalya explained to The Sun in an interview.
“It took him a long time to come to his senses to explain to me. With his trembling hands, he took out Oleg’s phone and showed me a video.
“You cannot imagine what I experienced when I saw it. I felt sick, I was dizzy, and nauseous.”
Natalya added that she could not believe her eyes when she saw what was on Oleg’s phone, adding that her husband shouted: “He is my best friend, I trusted him with our children, I trusted him as myself.”

March to the woods
Following the fight, Matrosov led Sviridov to the woods, where he forced his former friend to dig his own grave.
Reports have since differed about what happened after the grave had been dug. The Sun has reported that Vyacheslav stabbed Oleg, but conflicting reports have claimed the father actually convinced Oleg to take his own life.
Several days later, Sviridov’s body was found in the grave he had dug for himself.
Matrosov would confess the incident to local police a few weeks later and was initially facing murder charges as a result.
The murder charges initially brought against Matrosov would have brought with them a potential 15-year sentence in prison should the 38-year-old father have been found guilty.
Investigators ruled, however, that Sviridov’s fatal wounds were ‘self-inflicted,’ with Matrosov’s charges being downgraded to ‘inciting a person to s**cide or attempted s**cide by threats or abuse.’ This can carry a maximum sentence of six years in prison.

Matrosov hailed as local hero
Matrosov would go onto be found guilty of the charge by the Krasnoglinsky Court in Samara and, in 2022, was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
He would spend just one year of his sentence behind bars before receiving his freedom, returning home to his local village a hero.
Resident of the village of Pribrezhonye hailed Matrosov as a heroic figure. They even raised funds to pay his legal fees and began a petition demanding that the father be acquitted of any crime. The petition gathered over 2,500 signatures.
Matrosov’s case even caught the attention of Russian TV star and former presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak, who publicly declared their support for Matrosov’s cause.
Matrosov discovered horrific video on ‘friend’s’ phone
The reason Matrosov was driven to such extreme and deadly actions was because of what he found on Sviridov’s phone.
The 38-year-old father confronted his one-time friend after discovering graphic videos on his phone, which showed Sviridov s**ually abusing Matrosav’s six-year-old daughter.
Matrosav’s daughter could be heard desperately pleading on the videos: “Oleg, that’s enough, I can’t take it anymore. I want to go home,” as Sviridov coerced her into s**ual acts.
This discovery is what led the two former friends to become engaged in a brawl at Matrosav’s house.

It was the ‘hysterical’ fight that Matrosav’s wife Natalya encountered when she returned home that day and was confronted with the tragic reality of what had befallen her six-year-old daughter.
It has not been reported as to whether or not Natalya was aware of what was happening between Matrosav and Sviridov after they left the house. No details have been shared regarding Natalya’s knowledge of what Matrosav was going to do to Sviridov once they left the house.
The case eventually received widespread attention, first throughout Russia and then across the world.
Matrosav, a former rocket engine plant worker, shared a post on social media after returning home from prison, accompanied by the caption: “Home. Love very much.”
