People Think Donald Trump Called Into Live TV To Attack His Rivals
Did the President of the United States call into a TV show to rant about the Supreme Court?
Many television viewers believe that it is the case.
Donald Trump already has a lot going on. And as always, all of it is pretty controversial.
From making Pearl Harbour jokes in front of the Japanese PM, to starting a war, his actions continue to divide people in the US and around the world.
Recently, on top of everything else, one of his biggest policies got struck down by the Supreme Court.
The court ruled that Trump had ‘exceeded his authority’ by using a law ‘reserved for a national emergency’, as per the BBC.
Shortly after, a suspiciously Trump-sounding man by the name of ‘John Barron’ called into a live TV news broadcast to defend the president.
The caller quickly slammed the Supreme Court’s ruling, labelling it the ‘worst decision’ ever.
This led viewers to wonder – did the president secretly call up a news outlet to defend himself and mock his rivals?
Now, the news network has issued a statement to reveal everything they know about the caller’s identity.

Caller used name previously used by Trump
Someone called into the television network C-SPAN, under the name ‘John Barron’ to criticise the supreme court for making the ‘worst decision ever.’
People were quick to point out Trump was caught using the name as a pseudonym in the 1980s by – and the video quickly went viral as a result.
Now, this might have just been a Republican voter who wanted to see the President’s policy rolled out, or it could have easily been a diehard MAGA follower.
It’s just the man did sound A LOT like Donald Trump. Like, a lot, a lot.
And it’s not like Trump hasn’t got a history of doing this.
A 2016 report by the Washington Post revealed that Trump had previously used the name ‘John Barron’, sometimes redirecting questions to him as his ‘spokesperson’.
“Barron appears to have been Trump’s go-to alias when he was under scrutiny, in need of a tough front man or otherwise wanting to convey a message without attaching his own name to it,” the Post reported.

Trump used the name through the 80s, and only stopped when a lawsuit landed him in court in 1990, where he said under oath: “I believe on occasion I used that name.”
People are reacting to this name being used again – with one comment saying “His middle name and then his son’s first name….. THAT WAS HIM!!!!!”
Another says: “John Barron! Oh man, he is bringing back the classics.”
CNN also investigated a caller named John Miller – who was also Trump, and making little effort to disguise his distinguishable voice.
‘Terrible decision… He’s a dope’
The caller then went on a brutal rant, venting his anger at two democrats and shouting on the phone: “This is a terrible decision, and you have Hakeem Jeffries, who … he’s a dope.
“And you have Chuck Schumer, who can’t cook a cheeseburger.
“Of course, these people are happy. Of course, these people are happy. But true Americans will not be happy.”
The anchor promptly cut Barron off and went to another caller.
Given the fact that the caller sounded identical to the President, shared his opinions and went by Trump’s former pseudonym, it is easy to see why a lot of people have connected the dots to assume the president rang into a news show under a false name to lose his mind and slate his rivals.
So, was it Trump?
On one side, social media was inundated with people believing it was Trump and regularly asking: “Has Trump lost his mind?” and “consider me skeptical”.
However, in a statement released by C-SPAN on X, they said:
“Because so many of you are talking about Friday’s C-SPAN caller who identified himself as ‘John Barron’, we want to put this to rest.
“It was not the president.
“The call came from a central Virginia phone number and came while the president was in a widely covered, in-person White-House meeting with the governors.
“Tune into C-SPAN for the actual president at the State of the Union Address on Tuesday night.”
Even despite this, people still think it was still him.
One comment on the C-SPAN X post said: “Trump, in the White House restroom, with a burner VA phone”, while another said “Did he make you post this?”
I mean, has anyone ever seen John Barron from Virginia and Donald Trump in the same room?
