Royal Fans Are Seriously Shocked After Learning What Camilla Wore To Diana And Charles’ Wedding
Fans of the Royal Family have been left shocked after learning what Camilla chose to wear to Diana and Charles‘ wedding.
The world paused on July 29, 1981, when the ‘fairytale’ wedding between Lady Diana Spencer and then Prince Charles, the heir to the English throne, took place.
An estimated 750 million tuned in to watch the ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, and thousands lined the capital’s streets to catch a glimpse of the couple.

Diana, who was 20, arrived in a horse-drawn glass coach and stepped out wearing a silk gown with a 25-foot train.
Political leaders, royals from across the world, and celebrities attended the event, which was described as the ‘wedding of the century.’
The couple had been engaged for just five months before they said their vows.
From the outside, it seemed like a storybook romance, but reports have since shared something of the contrary.

Diana and Charles were married for 15 years and welcomed two children, Prince William and Prince Harry, before separating in 1992.
Within royal and media circles, it was common knowledge that Charles was particularly close to Camilla Parker Bowles.
In 1992, journalist Andrew Morton published ‘Diana: Her True Story,’ a groundbreaking book with revelations that shocked the world.
It changed the public’s perception of their marriage, and it was later revealed that Diana had secretly cooperated with the novel, sending recorded tapes.
This book shared the unhappiness within her marriage and the infidelity between Charles and Camilla.

Diana shared that before their wedding day, she’d discovered that her soon-to-be husband had received a parcel.
The package contained a bracelet engraved with the initials F and G, taken from Charles and Camilla’s nicknames for each other.
In 1995, Diana gave an infamous interview with BBC Panorama’s journalist Martin Bashir.
For the first time, she publicly addressed the cheating scandal.
She famously said in the interview: “There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded.”
The televised interview was watched by over 20 million viewers, which changed the public’s perception of her. She was dubbed ‘the People’s Princess.’

Looking back on Diana and Charles’ wedding, Camilla was in attendance; her outfit choice for the ceremony is seen as a bitter statement.
Wedding expert and editor of Hitched, Zoe Burke, spoke with Express about the outfit choice.
Burke shared: “Wearing white to a wedding is probably the biggest sin you can commit as a wedding guest – especially if it’s a floor-length, white lace number.
“Whilst Camilla had some white in her attire, she did offset it in a sombre-toned suit with a matching hat.
“But some may also argue her dark clothing was too sober and funeral-like for a wedding. Going off the dress code and wearing colours that are traditionally frowned upon, such as white or black when not requested by the couple, is seen as a form of protest.”

The wedding expert added: “And given what we know now, is it any wonder she made these choices?”
Burke also suggests that it might have been Camilla’s way of a ‘silent rebellion.’
When Charles and Camilla married in 2005, Queen Elizabeth famously wore white, and the bride said ‘I do’ in a light blue dress.
