‘Disgusting’ Pic Of Meghan And Harry’s Children Sparks Fury
What was meant to be a sweet, intimate family moment quickly spiraled into a storm of online outrage after Meghan Markle shared a rare pic featuring her children with Prince Harry that the internet branded ‘disgusting.’
The Easter post, uploaded on April 5, offered fans a glimpse into life at the couple’s California home, showing six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet enjoying an egg hunt, feeding chickens, and decorating Easter eggs.
But instead of universal praise, the post triggered a wave of criticism — with some social media users branding it ‘disgusting’ and accusing the Duchess of hypocrisy.
At the centre of the reaction? The children themselves — and the way they were shown.
A pattern of backlash
This is far from the first time Meghan’s posts involving her children have sparked controversy.
Earlier images — including a birthday photo and a clip marking International Day of the Girl — also drew criticism for similar reasons: partial visibility, curated angles, and the decision to share without fully revealing the children.
Each time, the reaction follows a familiar pattern. Critics accuse. Supporters defend. And the conversation grows louder.
Meanwhile, Meghan has remained consistent in her stance.
“Our children Archie and Lili are still too young for social media,” she said at a recent event. “But like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits while safeguarding against the dangers.”

The red hair that ‘stole the show’
Despite the backlash, many viewers were captivated by one striking detail: both children’s unmistakable red hair — a genetic inheritance from their father and his late mother, Princess Diana’s Spencer family.
The clips revealed subtle but noticeable differences.
Archie’s hair appeared a deeper auburn shade, while Lilibet’s was a brighter, lighter ginger — closely resembling Harry’s own.
In one moment, Archie focused intently on decorating an egg with a spinning toy, his short red bangs clearly visible. In another, Lilibet ran barefoot through the garden wearing bunny ears, her loose ginger hair catching the light.
Prince Harry has previously joked about this very trait.
“The ginger gene is a strong one!” he laughed during a 2023 interview, adding: “I genuinely thought… there’s no way the ginger gene will stand up to my wife’s genes — but I was wrong. Go gingers.”
The Easter footage seemed to confirm it — unmistakably.
The image that sparked fury
However, not everyone saw the post as wholesome.
Critics quickly took aim at what they perceived as a contradiction between Meghan’s long-standing calls for privacy and her decision to share glimpses of her children online.
“I thought she wanted privacy? Yet she keeps posting these carefully staged pictures,” one commenter wrote.
Another was more blunt: “This is all about Meghan… using them for her own gain. Disgusting.”
Others questioned why the children’s faces were never shown, suggesting the posts felt ‘teasing’ or ‘attention-seeking.’
“Never see their faces,” one user complained. “Who’s kids are these?” another asked. “Could be anyone’s kids,” a third added.
Some comments veered into conspiracy territory, with bizarre speculation about the children’s appearance — including debates over their height, clothing, and even whether filters had been used to enhance their red hair.
One post read: “Where did she hire the kids from this time?” Another joked: “Archie has shrunk about a foot since his skiing videos!!!”
Fans also pointed out that Lilibet’s hair looked unbrushed and messy, and that she wasn’t wearing a coat while he brother was.
The tone ranged from skeptical to outright hostile — highlighting just how polarizing the couple remains.

Supporters push back against criticism
Not all reactions were negative. Many fans defended Meghan Markle, arguing that she has struck a careful balance between sharing family moments and protecting her children’s identities.
“Sharing a picture of your child that you choose to post is not the same as having their privacy invaded,” one supporter wrote. “She’s setting boundaries, not breaking them.”
Others praised the authenticity of the clips. “They are growing and having a normal life,” one fan commented. “Their parents made the right call taking them out of the royal drama.”
Another added: “Lovely to see royal kids just being kids.”
‘Sad to watch’: the detail that struck a nerve
Alongside the controversy, another theme emerged — one that some viewers described as ‘heartbreaking.’
Several commenters noted the apparent absence of extended family during the Easter celebrations.
“What’s really sad is they have no family to spend Easter with,” one person wrote.
“Nice to see them playing, but why are they always alone?” another asked. “A few friends would make this much happier. Kinda sad to watch.”
The contrast was stark: while King Charles III and other senior royals gathered in Windsor for traditional Easter services, Harry and Meghan’s children were shown celebrating privately in California.
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, the Sussexes have remained largely estranged from the rest of the Royal Family.
Prince Harry has acknowledged the rift, saying in a 2025 interview, per Sky: “There have been so many disagreements… I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point continuing to fight any more — life is precious.”
Yet for now, that reconciliation remains out of reach — and for some viewers, the Easter video quietly underscored that distance.
