A Starbucks customer says she was left shocked after receiving a message on her cup when she ordered Charlie Kirk’s favorite drink in his honor.

The controversy began when Autumn Perkins, an Ohio resident, ordered a Mint Majesty tea with two honeys — the late conservative activist’s go-to beverage — at the Starbucks inside a Kroger on Towne Blvd.

The incident came just days after hundreds of thousands tuned in to Kirk’s memorial service in Arizona on September 22, where former President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Kirk’s widow Erika delivered tributes.

Kirk, 31, was shot dead at a Utah Valley University event on September 10.

However, Perkins claimed that her support of Kirk has come with backlash when ordering a Starbucks drink.

Perkins wrote on Facebook: “The girl at Starbucks thought she was cute. I don’t even support Starbucks bc of everything they stand for, starting with their satanic logo, but I support Charlie Kirk, so I thought you know what… I’ll get his drink.

“Thank you, Starbucks, for proving to me exactly why I prefer to support my small local Christian-owned and operated coffee shop. Well done.”

Perkins said she immediately reported the incident to the Starbucks store manager and later to Kroger. According to her, a Kroger representative confirmed that the worker responsible admitted to writing the message and was fired.

“I would agree that people should be fired if they’re doing something like this,” Perkins told Fox News Digital. “Actions have repercussions.”

She added: “I feel like Charlie stood for respect — we don’t have to agree on everything. We can disagree on a lot of things, but we respect each other. We can’t communicate and grow if we’re disrespecting each other.”

Starbucks condemned the incident, with a spokesperson saying, per MailOnline: “Writing this on a cup is unacceptable, and we have clear policies that prohibit negative messages to help preserve a welcoming environment.

“This Starbucks location is licensed and operated by Kroger. We understand that this associate was terminated by Kroger.”

Kroger also released a statement confirming the dismissal, adding: “This behavior does not reflect Kroger’s values.”

Starbucks later clarified to the Independent that while it discourages the use of political slogans or offensive words as customer ‘names,’ there is no restriction on using Charlie Kirk’s name in orders.

The company also noted that drink cups are handled by multiple people and messages could, in theory, be written after a barista hands them off.

Despite the swift action taken, Perkins said she no longer plans to spend money at the coffee chain. “I don’t intend to spend another penny at Starbucks — and as far as I’m concerned, neither will my children or anybody else in my family who will listen to me,” she said.

The viral post has fueled debate online, with some condemning the barista’s behavior and others questioning the growing tensions surrounding Kirk’s supporters ordering his favorite drink at Starbucks.

For Perkins, the message on her cup crossed a line. She posted that the words “racist’s fav drink” had been scrawled across her cup.
