A ‘no men’ nightclub is opening up in the UK as part of a tour, with dates planned in Manchester, Birmingham and Brighton.

Lick Events announced the events in a TikTok video and explained that it’s all aimed at ‘making women feel safe’ when out.

The teaser was captioned ‘Heaven,’ and shows a look inside the club night.

Over the footage, a message reads: “A little look inside the UK’s biggest club night where no men are allowed.”

In the comments section, users were divided on the rationale behind it.

Many women said they’d love to attend and revealed they would ‘feel safe’ there.

One penned: “Notice how everyone’s full glam? Do men need any more proof that we don’t do it for them?”

“This looks so safe and fun,” added another. “Imagine being able to dress up and not be sexually harassed while trying to dance with your friends.”

One male heaped praise on the organisers, saying: “Not gonna lie, I’m male and this looks fun, safe and a great night out. I get it. Good job.”

Other men complained about the hate they were facing in the comments.

“I’m all happy as a man for this as this would make women feel safer, but the way they are bashing men on these comments? Like damn that’s sad,” said a second.

A third remarked: “Y’all fighting invisible comments for real. (Except the drinks one). Actual men don’t care. Have your fun ladies.”
