Fortune teller Nostradamus predicted King Charles III will abdicate the throne, an expert has claimed.
Nostradamus was a French astrologer, physician and reputed seer who made several predictions during his life in the 1500s.
His work has been examined by Mario Reading, who is an author and leading expert on 16th-century astrology.
Reading has speculated that Nostradamus foresaw King Charles, 74, abdicating the throne.
He became king on September 8, 2022, following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Although he’s only been ruling a short while, Reading says there’s a reason he will abdicate, and there’s another king who will take over, and it’s likely not to be Prince William.

Reading claims Nostradamus foresaw King Charles abdicating the throne due to his age, however, he will be taken over by another king.
When sharing his take, the author mused: “Does that mean that Prince William, who would have expected to succeed his father, is no longer in the picture?”
The writer went on to clarify that if the Prince of Wales can’t take up the role for whatever reason, then ‘Prince Harry, by process of default, [might] become King in his stead’.
Reading continued: “That would make him King Henry IX, aged just 38.”

This is despite the fact Prince Harry, 38, made headlines in early 2020 when he and his wife, Meghan Markle, made the decision to step back from the royal family.
At the time, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said they were determined to provide their family ‘with the space to focus on the next chapter’, reports BBC.
This isn’t the only prediction that Nostradamus apparently made regarding King Charles.
The author believes the seer also predicted that the Commonwealth would break away during the now 74-year-old’s reign.

Reading claimed: “Prince Charles will be seventy-four years old in 2022 when he takes over the throne, but the resentments held against him by a certain proportion of the British population, following his divorce from Diana, Princess of Wales, still persist.”
Reading also believes that the oracle foresaw the Queen’s death in his poems dating back to 1555.
“The preamble is that Queen Elizabeth II will die, circa 2022, at the age of around ninety-six, five years short of her mother’s term of life,” the author said.
Over the years, people have claimed that Nostradamus made several accurate predictions, including the rise of Hitler and the Nazi Party during the 1930s, as well as the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center towers in New York.
