Paul Cattermole’s death certificate has shed new light on how he died.

Cattermole, 46, was a member of the British pop group S Club 7.

It was made up of seven members: Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara, Hannah Spearritt, and Rachel Stevens.

S Club 7 produced hit tracks such as ‘Never Had A Dream Come True’, ‘Stand by You’, and ‘Don’t Stop Movin’.

Earlier this year, the band delighted fans when they announced they would be reuniting for an arena tour to celebrate 25 years since their formation.

But shortly after this announcement, Cattermole passed away.

In a statement at the time, the band’s management said: “We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul.

“There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel.

“We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.

“He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.”

The singer was reportedly found dead at his home in Dorset – police said at the time that there was no foul play or suspicious activity involved.

Shortly after Cattermole’s death, it was revealed that he died from ‘natural causes’.

Dorset’s Coroner Service shared a statement that read: “I can confirm that Mr Cattermole died from natural causes and our investigations have concluded.”

However, further information about Cattermole’s passing has now been disclosed.

His official death certificate, which has been obtained by People magazine, lists that Cattermole suffered from heart issues.

Heart issues such as cardiac arrhythmia, acute myocardial ischemia and severe coronary artery atheroma and intraplaque haemorrhage were reportedly listed on the official certificate.

An inquest into Cattermole’s death won’t be required.

Following news of the singer’s death, bandmate Hannah Spearritt – who had previously dated Cattermole – shared that she would no longer be taking part in the comeback and reunion tour.

At the time of writing, the specific reasons behind her departure from the band remain unclear.

It’s believed that Spearritt has hired lawyers to renegotiate her contract with music mogul Simon Fuller’s talent company.

Allegedly, negotiation chats have been ‘tricky’.

MailOnline reports that a source says: “It is a shame that it has got to the point where Hannah has had to get lawyers.”

The remaining members of the group – Rachel Stevens, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh and Tina Barrett – have renamed the group S Club.

They have addressed Spearritt’s departure from the group on the band’s Instagram page.

In a video, Lee says: “You’ve probably noticed that there’s only five of us here today, and although Hannah will always be part of S Club 7, she won’t be joining us on this tour.

“We wish her all the best for the future.”
