A French daredevil who is known for climbing huge buildings and structures has tragically died aged 30.

Remi Lucidi, who was also known as Remi Enigma, would often take to social media and show off his elaborate stunts.

The daredevil reportedly died after falling from the 68th floor of Tregunter Tower in Hong Kong.

According to investigators, via The Independent, Lucidi had told security that he was ‘visiting a friend’ who lived on the 40th floor of the building.

However, the guard found out the resident he was supposedly visiting did not know the stuntman  – but Lucidi got in a lift before he could get caught.

Security camera footage showed that Lucidi got out of the lift on the 49th floor and was later spotted on some staircases on the top floor.

Security guards also found that the lock to the top floor had been forced open, but they could not find him.

South China Morning Post has reported that the stuntman was last seen alive knocking on a penthouse window at around 7.30pm on July 27.

This led to a maid who worked at Trengunter Tower to call the police.

However, by the time help arrived, Lucidi supposedly lost his footing and fell to his death.

Police discovered his sports camera, which contained videos of his stunts and extreme sports.

An official statement and the cause of Lucidi’s death has yet to be revealed by the Hong Kong police.

While staying in Hong Kong, Lucidi was staying at the Ashoka Hostel in Tsim Sha Tsu.

The hostel owner, Gurjit Kaur, told the South China Morning Post that the daredevil was a ‘friendly and humble guy’ but kept to himself.

“He was healthy and fit and happy-faced,” she told the outlet. “I feel very sad.”

Kaur added that she saw Lucidi twice on Thursday, once when he asked for housekeeping to clean his room around noon and then saw him again at around 4pm when she left the hostel.

Meanwhile, another source who worked at the hostel told the publication that the stuntman was in Hong Kong on a holiday.
