People can’t believe how much Robert Irwin’s girlfriend looks like his sister, Bindi.

Irwin rose to fame thanks to his famous father, Steve, who was a beloved wildlife expert and TV personality known as the ‘Crocodile Hunter’.

Since Steve’s tragic passing in 2006, after being attacked by a stingray during the filming of a documentary, his children Robert and Bindi have taken up his mantle.

Robert has gone on to become a ‘wildlife warrior’ at Australia Zoo and is a much-loved celebrity figure, too.

And one aspect of Irwin’s life that continues to fascinate?

Who he’s dating, of course!

Well, it seems as though his current girlfriend has a claim to fame in her own right.

But that’s not all.

Fans also think she bears a striking resemblance to Robert’s sister, Bindi!

In spite of his young age, the 20-year-old Irwin has taken to life in the public eye like a duck to water.

Speaking to Australia’s Stellar magazine, he said: “Because I am sort of stepping into adulthood, having turned 18, and navigating that is hard enough [but] when you are in my situation, and you don’t have a father figure to guide you through, it’s really hard.”

He also told ET last October: “We’re also very lucky because through all of dad’s amazing documentaries, we basically have our life on TV.”

Irwin has also recently debuted his celebrity girlfriend.

But everyone had one comment, in particular, about Irwin’s choice of boo.

They all thought she looked rather like his own sister, Bindi.

One writes: “I thought they looked like each other! Lol, a female version of him, could be his sister lol. I guess it’s true that you’re attracted to someone who looks like you.”

Another agrees: “She looks a little like Bindi.”

While a third person questions: “Looks like his sister?!”

“Am I the only one who thought that was Bindi?” another asks.

Someone else adds: “Does she look like his sister or is it just me?”

So, who is the mystery woman who has captured Robert Irwin’s heart?

Well, she’s also related to a big-name star – none other than Heath Ledger, the Brokeback Mountain star who tragically passed away due to an accidental medication overdose in January 2008.

Rorie Buckey is the daughter of the late Dark Knight actor’s sister Kate – who owns a design and media production company.

The famous couple made their red carpet debut last summer, with many loving the sweet pairing.

The pair are also reportedly close to Ledger’s daughter, Matilda.

“It’s hard to imagine a pair of Aussie kids who share a more similar story than Matilda and Robert,” a source tells Woman’s Day.

“It really is a twist of fate that they ended up sharing such a strong link through Rorie.

“Getting to know Matilda who’s in a similar boat not remembering her dad because she was so young, would be so cathartic for him.”
