Sam Smith has issued a sad health update as they’ve been forced to cancel another tour gig.

Smith, 30, is one of the UK’s biggest pop stars and they’ve even won an Oscar for their James Bond track ‘Writing’s On The Wall’.

Earlier this year, the ‘Unholy’ singer dropped their fourth studio album ‘Gloria’ and it debuted at number one in the UK, Ireland and Australia.

In recent months, they’ve made headlines for their increasingly provocative image in the public eye.

They’ve performed in outfits that have included devil horns, fishnet tights and numerous genderfluid costumes.

Smith has been preparing to appear at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, however, this is no longer going ahead this month.

The ‘Stay with Me’ artist revealed in a statement that they are not well and the concert will be rescheduled to another date this year, reports The Daily Star.

Their statement reads: “Sailors, I am so sorry to let you know that my team and I are still really not well, so, unfortunately, we need to reschedule our Birmingham show to the 27th May 2023.

“It’s so important to me that we give you the very best version of Gloria. I don’t want you to experience it at anything less.”

They continue: “Thank you so much for understanding, I know how excited everyone is to see the show, and I feel the same about seeing all of you.

“All previous tickets are still valid for the new date. For any more information, go to my website.”

Concluding the post, they add: “All my love, Sam x.”

The news comes after Smith previously cancelled their gig in Glasgow, Scotland, on April 22.

In a similar statement, they said: “Sailors. I’m so sorry to say but we have to reschedule the Glasgow show to May 25, 2022.

“Myself and a lot of my team have been hit with a virus, that’s made us really unwell.”

Smith has cancelled their gigs just days after ex-Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan launched a vicious attack on them.

On his Uncensored TalkTV show with guests Douglas Murray and James Barr, Morgan misgenders the ‘Like I Can’ singer and brutally brands them ‘ridiculous’.

The 58-year-old fumes: “My point about Sam Smith is it’s just an o**y, of in my view, a narcissistic self-indulgent deliberately shocking stuff.

“[They] look terrible! Why would you do this? You can’t seriously think that what we’re looking at here is actually anything other than ridiculous, look at [them].”
