Sarah Paulson, 49, has shared a birthday tribute to her 81-year-old girlfriend Holland Taylor amidst ‘horrifying’ troll comments about the pairing.
The American Horror Story star is also known for her roles in Glass, The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, and Ocean’s 8.
Paulson has won a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe and was even named one of the most influential people in the world back in 2017 by TIME Magazine.
But all of these accolades haven’t been enough to protect Paulson’s age-gap relationship from the trolls.

This week, Paulson, 49, honoured Taylor’s 81st birthday with an adorable collection of photos and videos.
She defended her partner against the troll comments that have plagued the pair.
Paulson previously addressed her relationship with Taylor in an interview with The Guardian, and she spoke in detail about how their age gap has been a hot topic amongst internet haters.
She revealed: “If it allows for more freedom, in terms of the way people think about what’s possible for them, then I’m all for the fandom of it and the excitement around it and the interest in it.
“What I don’t love, which is sort of a consequence of it being such public knowledge, is that there is a discussion about it at all.
“Believe me, there have been plenty of young people on the internet who have tweeted horrifying things to me about it, and who don’t support it and who are so cruel. So it’s just a bit of a dance. But one I try to not let into my brain too often.”
Paulson continued: “I don’t remember people going nuts about Michael Douglas and Catherine-Zeta Jones, in terms of their age difference.
“I think people are fascinated by it because it’s so not typical.”
And this week, Paulson has proven that the couple are still going strong.

“My phone made this. And I like it. Happy Birthday to my one and only love,” Paulson captioned an Instagram post on Sunday, set to the tune of ‘Seasons’ by Needtobreathe.
“You are, quite simply- my world. I love you. @hollandvtaylor (don’t be mad about the second to last picture, I didn’t know how to take it out, plus there are pictures of me with no eyebrows, so-),” she added.
The montage, which was titled ‘HOLLAND MEEEEE & ME: Over The Years’, featured many sweet images of the pair, including romantic getaways and cute kisses.

The couple’s famous friends are loving the tribute, with Sean Hayes commenting: “Beautiful. I love this.”
Grey’s Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo added: “Magnificent women. Happy Birthday @hollandvtaylor.”
Ava Duvernay agreed: “We love your love. Happy birthday, @hollandvtaylor. Your life is a gift to us all. Blessings and bravery to you both!”
