Mom Names Twins After Her Favorite Band And People Won’t Stop Mocking Her
A mom is being mocked online after revealing she’s named her twins after her favorite band.
Choosing a name for a baby can be a deeply personal decision and can be influenced by various factors.
Some parents choose names to honor deceased loved ones, while others take inspiration from famous figures or fictional characters they admire.
Now, one mom has gone viral after revealing who she named her twin boys after, and she’s started to doubt herself.
She initially believed she’d made a wonderful choice, but she’s now concerned about potential judgment from others.

The mom took to Mumsnet for advice, explaining that she feels people are criticizing her decision to name her sons.
She wrote: “Judged for my kids’ names?!
“I have always been a massive Oasis fan (sorry Blur fans) and they have influenced me and inspired me throughout my entire life.
“When I found out I was having two little twin boys, I thought it would be amazing to name them after the Gallagher brothers!
“I thought it was a sweet idea, but people seem to frown and laugh thinking it’s a joke!!”
According to the mom’s post, the reactions from others have left her feeling ‘hurt.’
The Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, were central figures in Oasis, one of the most influential bands of the 1990s.
While the mother found the Oasis baby names meaningful, the response from others has been mixed.

The mom’s post prompted more than 200 responses from users sharing their opinions.
While some reassured her the names are fairly common, others weren’t so supportive.
One person commented: “Liam and Noel are actually pretty nice mainstream names. It’s not like it’s a Ringo-type name or whatever.”
Another added: “Well I know someone that named their twins Ronnie and Reggie soooo….”
Yet somebody else said: “Not a fan of either name. Can also understand that when naming two children at the same time within the same family it’ll seem a bit strange/funny to some people.
“But then… names are a bit of a polarizing thing anyway and it doesn’t really matter what anyone else thinks.”
Another agreed, writing: “I’m not surprised they laugh really.”
