‘World’s Smartest Man’ Makes Shocking Revelation About God’s Existence
The ‘world’s smartest man,’ who claims to have an IQ higher than Einstein, has made a shocking statement about whether God exists.
When British naturalist Charles Darwin published his groundbreaking work On the Origin of Species in 1859, the previously-accepted Christian origin story of Adam and Eve being the first humans was thrown into question.
The scientific literary text introduced the brand-new theory of evolution by natural selection, explaining how species evolve and adapt, directly contradicting the previous widely-accepted notion that God created all life on earth as it is today.
From then onwards, there have been endless debates over whether God exists, dividing scientific intellectuals and religious believers.
Now, one of the world’s smartest men has announced an astounding declaration about God’s existence, at just 36 years old.
What is ‘IQ?’
IQ, which stands for ‘intelligence quotient,’ is a total score derived from a set of tests structured to assess human intelligence.
But what’s the history behind the IQ test? How has it come to hold so much importance today?
The historical method that formed the basis of today’s IQ test was originally designed by two psychologists in 1905.
The test was designed for school children struggling at a school in France to figure out which children needed individualized attention. The children’s age was also taken into account.
Here’s how the different IQ score ranges are generally categorized: a score of 130–145 is considered genius level; 115–130 is classified as gifted; 100–115 falls into the above average range; 80–100 is considered below average; 70–85 is further below average; and 55–70 is regarded as the most below average range.
Dark history of the IQ test
IQ tests first became implemented on a large scale in WWI, when the US military used the tests to sort recruits and screen them for officer training.
From WWI onwards, IQ tests took a dark turn and has had a dark history leading up to the present day.
Eugenics, a set of beliefs and practices intended to improve the genetic quality of a population by excluding people presumed to be inferior, played a significant role in the United States from the late 19th century to the US’s involvement in World War II.
This led to the state of Virginia creating a policy in 1924, which allowed for the forced sterilization of people with low IQ scores, implementing the practice of eugenics to ‘better’ the American population.
The government in Nazi Germany during WWII permitted the m**der of children based on low IQ, adding to the troubling history of using intelligence scores to make political choices with horrendous consequences.
After the Holocaust and the Civil Rights Movement, these highly prejudicial uses of IQ test results were challenged on moral and scientific grounds.
Who is the ‘world’s smartest man?’
Dr. YoungHoon Kim, born in 1989, is a South Korean man who claims to have an IQ score of 276.
YoungHoon’s was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science in Cognitive Science by American Management University on March 22, 2025.
For context, both Einstein and Stephen Hawking are considered to have an IQ of 160.
Other geniuses have disagreed with YoungHoon’s religious proclamations.
In his posthumously published book ‘Brief Answers to the Big Questions,’ Hawking stated: “There is not God. No one directs the universe.”
This follows on from an interview with The Guardian in 2011, when he said: “I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail.”
“There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark.”
This directly contradicts YoungHoon’s comments about God’s existence, who has used his intelligence to support his Christian beliefs.
Last year, YoungHoon made a shocking revelation about the existence of God on X (previously Twitter), claiming his extraordinarily high IQ contributed to this.
He’s said that the afterlife aligns with science by referring to quantum physics and theories of consciousness.
“As the world’s highest IQ record holder, I believe that Jesus Christ is God, the way and the truth and the life,” he claimed in an X post on June 18, 2025.
