The King Richard actor has barely been out of the headlines in the past few months.
In fact, from the infamous 2022 Oscars ‘slap’, when he faced off against Chris Rock, things have been pretty tumultuous in Smith’s world.
But now, there’s a brand new controversy in the 55-year-old’s life.

While Will Smith is technically famous for his acting and singing, it’s his personal life that has kept him a household name of late.
His relationship with his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, has been on and off like a lightswitch – and the couple don’t shy away from oversharing online.
And now, it looks as though another of Smith’s posts is causing him some trouble.
An image of the I Am Legend actor on an international flight has caused uproar with his fans, for one very specific reason.
“Cancelled,” writes one commenter on X, formerly Twitter.
Another asks: “Why does he make it his personal responsibility to be close to everyone that’s been cancelled in some way and then tell us about it?”

The picture was taken by a fan, who spotted Smith on an international flight from Dubai to Los Angeles.
But the reason everyone is so annoyed with Smith is because of his travel companion.
He was snapped with none other than Kanye West.
West has been widely called out on social media in recent months for some rather bigoted comments.
The ‘Flashing Lights’ rapper lost a wide range of sponsorships and business deals for some of his more hateful rhetoric, including making antisemitic jibes and praising Adolf Hitler.

Last year West told conspiracy theorist Alex Jones (via The Independent): “I see good things about Hitler also.
“And the Jewish people are not going to tell me, ‘You can love us and you can love what we are doing to you with the contracts, and you can love what we are pushing with the p****graphy’, but this guy that invented highways, invented the very microphone that I use as a musician, you can’t say out loud that this person ever did anything good and I am done with that.
“I am done with the classifications. Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler.”
All of this culminated in West having his Twitter account banned by Elon Musk, as per The Guardian.
Now, many Smith fans are questioning why he’s associating with such a problematic figure.
One adds: “More shocked at Will taking a pic with him!”
The pair were reportedly returning from the Soundstorm music festival in Saudi Arabia, where they had performed individual sets.
