Ana de Armas has said she was left in ‘pain’ after fighting with Keanu Reeves.

The 34-year-old actress is best known for her roles in the Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde, Knives Out, and Blade Runner 2049.

She is also no stranger to action films, having starred in the most recent James Bond movie, No Time To Die.

However, judging by her most recent comments, it seems that one of de Armas’ upcoming films could be her most physically challenging yet.

de Armas is set to star in the leading role of the film Ballerina, which is a spinoff movie that is a part of the John Wick universe.

The film follows de Armas’ assassin as she goes on a murderous revenge-fueled rampage after the people that killed her family.

Being set in the same universe as Reeves’ deadly assassin, it is inevitable that the pair will cross paths, especially since he is confirmed to appear in the film.

With filming underway, the Knives Out star has teased what their interaction will look like.

Appearing on The Jimmy Fallon Show, De Armas admitted that she is ‘sore’, ‘bruised’ and ‘in pain’ from shooting scenes with Reeves.

She told the host: “We’ve been in Prague filming for four months. We still have one more month to go. And I’m in pain.

“You know, my body, my back, everything hurts. I’m complaining, I’m sore, I’m bruised.”

She also admitted that the stunts in this movie are on ‘another level’ compared to No Time To Die.

De Armas explained: “Bond was fifteen minutes. This is a whole movie, another level.

“But the other day, Keanu and I were rehearsing our very difficult stunt scene, and this man is just rolling and throwing me and doing crazy stunts.

“And I’m like – I can’t complain anymore because he is doing it! He truly is the best.”

Along with Reeves, other actors from the John Wick films will be returning, including Ian McShane (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) and Lance Riddick (The Wire).

While Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead) has signed up for an unknown role in the movie.

Although no release date is yet to be confirmed for Ballerina, fans won’t have to wait too long to get a dose of John Wick action, as the fourth film in the franchise is set to hit cinemas in March this year.

This movie will pick up straight after the surprising events of John Wick: Chapter Three – Parabellum.

The series has cemented itself as one of the best action films in recent times due to its ultra-stylish action sequences, bloody violence, and intriguing world-building.

The John Wick franchise has also grossed over $570 million at the box office and each film has scored over 80% on Rotten Tomatoes.
