‘Millions of women’ are into a bedroom kink that most men haven’t figured out.

The rise of social media has given us a glimpse into the endless preferences when it comes to s**ual desire.

Almost everyone has some kind of s**ual kink or fetish, whether they are aware of it or not.

Kinks are often considered taboo or stigmatised by society, which can make it difficult for people to explore their desires and fetishes.

And while some might find discussing it embarrassing, it’s a normal part of human s**uality.

Now, a new kink, called the ‘praise kink’, has emerged.

According to s** professor Dr Nicole K McNichols, a praise kink involves getting turned on by receiving compliments from a partner during s**.

This can range from being called ‘beautiful’, ‘hot’, or ‘amazing in some way’, McNichols says.

Naturally, most people enjoy being complimented in some form.

McNichols adds: “Praise kink exists on a continuum of course, because, I mean, who doesn’t love being told that they’re beautiful or hot or amazing in some way?”

The praise kink has gained popularity on TikTok, with many users sharing their fetish for affirmations.

Data columnist Jana Hocking admits that having a praise kink is self-centred and slightly narcissistic, but she’s very much on board with it.

She says: “It has had a whopping 60 million views on TikTok so clearly I’m not the only one lapping it up.”

The kink involves people who get turned on by hearing how wonderful they are, especially during s**.

Hocking says popular praises that people in this group like to hear include ‘You’re doing such a great job’, ‘Your b***s look amazing from this angle’, ‘You’re so good at that’, and ‘Baby, you feel amazing’.”

The praise kink continues to grow on TikTok, with hundreds of people giving their take on the niche.

One user shared a screen recording of a multiplayer game in which her virtual partner repeatedly told her ‘nice job’ and ‘that’s amazing’ as she took out their opponents, unknowingly feeding her praise kink.

Another TikTok user said: “So I’ve been seeing that it’s been trending on TikTok that… a lot of girls are realising that they have a praise kink.

“Just to let you know, if you have a praise kink, you probably have words of affirmation in your top two love languages.”

Overall, the rise of the praise kink shows that s**ual desire is unique to individuals and that there are endless preferences when it comes to what turns us on.

As long as it’s consensual and doesn’t harm anyone, there’s nothing wrong with exploring your desires and fetishes.
