Bill Gates’ eldest daughter is set to inherit a ‘minuscule portion’ of her dad’s fortune.

Gates, 67, is an American business magnate and a co-founder of Microsoft.

The businessman and philanthropist was married to Melinda Gates, 58, for 27 years and during this time, they welcomed three children: Jennifer, 26, Rory, 23, and Phoebe, 20.

The pair divorced in August 2021.

Over the years, Gates has gained and lost the title of the ‘world’s richest man’ and as reported by Forbes, he has an estimated net worth of $106 billion.

Despite this, it’s believed his eldest daughter will receive little of his amassed fortune.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Gates reveals that his kids, including Jennifer, will need ‘to find their own way’ in the world – as he’s set to give his billion to charity.

He says that instead of them receiving billion-dollar trust funds, he’ll ensure that they have a ‘great education’ instead.

“It’s not a favour to kids to have them have huge sums of wealth. It distorts anything they might do, creating their own path,” the philanthropist remarks.

But you shouldn’t become too concerned for Jennifer – as it’s been revealed she’s been given many privileges throughout her life.

According to Business Insider, Jennifer and her siblings attended a private high school in Seattle.

While she’s gone on to earn a degree in human biology and is also an accomplished equestrian.

So that Jennifer could fulfil her passion, Gates spent a whopping $37 million on contiguous properties in Florida so that she could maintain her own stables, reports Herald Weekly.

This investment appears to have paid off, as his eldest has gone up against some famous show jumpers.

As per New York Post, her parents have also purchased Jennifer a $5 million condo which apparently is based just blocks away from her medical school.

While in recent years, Jennifer has settled down and is starting a family of her own.

Back in 2020, she announced her engagement to renowned Egyptian equestrian Nayel Nassar.

At the time of the announcement, she penned on Instagram: “I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives learning, growing, laughing, and loving together.”

The couple tied the knot in October 2021 and last November, the pair revealed they are expecting their first child.

Unlike many who are the offspring of celebrities, Jennifer has acknowledged the ‘privilege’ she’s had throughout her life.

In an interview with Sidelines Magazine, she says that she wants to help others, just like her dad.

“I was born into a huge situation of privilege,” she acknowledges.

“I think it’s about using those opportunities and learning from them to find things that I’m passionate about and hopefully make the world a little bit of a better place.”
