Britney Spears, 41, is known for hits such as ‘…Baby One More Time’, ‘Gimme More’ and ‘Everytime’.
The ‘Oops!…I Did It Again’ singer often shares racy snaps and her thoughts with fans on Instagram – where she has a staggering 41.6 million followers.
Most recently, Spears took to the platform to reveal that she’s changed her name.

Underneath an image of the planet Mars, the ‘Circus’ singer writes (via Metro): “‘A bright one… easy does it!!!
“Thank you, childhood friend, I found my ball… don’t underestimate the power of purity!!!
“I see right through it all… it has liquid and is wet… it’s playful and has mass!!!”
She continues: “I changed my name to River Red!!! Yet the fire is where it illuminates… to stare at it and jump right in with no fear at all!!!!
“S***. Now I have to find my FORK!!!
Making her new name of River Red official, Spears changed her name on Instagram.
After seeing Spears’ latest post on her name change, fans have taken to social media and reacted.
One follower questioned on Twitter: “What does River Red mean?”
A second speculated: “Must be a new album called River Red. There were rumours about her making new music again.”
While a third person commented: “Let the River Red era begin…”
Spears’ announcement comes after her reported ‘meltdown’ at a Los Angeles restaurant.
Gossip site TMZ reported that Spears and her husband, Sam Asghari, were eating dinner when the pop star apparently began acting strange and ‘talking gibberish’.
Reportedly, this led to Spears’ husband ‘storming out’, with the singer following shortly after.
However, these allegations have been denied by Spears, who has taken to her Instagram to speak out.
In the post, she says: “I’ve been at my Aunt Suzy’s house, we made three pies to give at church service this Sunday!
