Lady Gaga Doesn’t Actually Say ‘Red Wine’ In Her Songs
Fans are only just realising that Lady Gaga doesn’t actually say ‘red wine’ in her songs.
The pop star has a catalogue of songs that almost everyone knows, including ‘Poker Face’, ‘Telephone’ and ‘Bad Romance’.
Gaga also won an Oscar for Best Original Song in A Star Is Born – in which she also played a leading role alongside Bradley Cooper.
However, many of her fans have just been made aware that they’ve been singing her songs wrong all this time.

They’ve believed for some time that they heard the ‘Paparazzi’ singer say the words ‘red wine’ at the beginning of songs.
However, she is actually saying ‘RedOne’, which is the name of the producer behind many of her hit tracks.
RedOne, whose real name is Nadir Khayat, co-wrote and co-produced Gaga’s debut album ‘The Fame’.
He also worked on later albums ‘FAMEPOP’, ‘Joanne’, and ‘Born This Way’.

Reacting to their apparent lyrical mistake, fans have taken to social media to express their surprise.
One person comments: “Wait she wasn’t [saying ‘red wine’]?! I’ve always thought she was complaining about red wine spilling on the carpet!”
“I’m still so upset that Gaga wasn’t saying “red wine” at the start of ‘Just Dance’. I thought that was so cool,” adds another.
A third says: “I even thought that’s why the next line was ‘I had a little bit too much…’ like it makes too much sense for her to not have said that.”

Someone else says: “I was today years old when I learnt this.”
Another adds: “It was about three years after that song [‘Just Dance’] came out that I learned that, and honestly it ruined the song.
“‘On Red Wine’ is the perfect intro to the rest of the story of that song.”
However, some claim that they already knew, with one tweeting: “I am definitely in the minority cause Gaga says RedOne, Akon says Konvict, which is his label. I just thought they were doing their tags.”
Another person explains: “It’s RedOne. A record company I think. I don’t know. I feel like artists had a period where they just did promo at the start of a song, for themselves or others.”
Although, despite this new information, fans are still adamant that they will continue to sing ‘red wine’ at the beginning of her songs.
Someone says: “I still say red wine, can’t nobody tell me nothing!”

A third person comments: “In my car it will continue to be ‘red wine’ thank you.”
While another fan admits: “We sing ‘red wine’ anyway, you hear me.”
