Taylor Swift Gives Host Awkward Death Stare After Brutal Joke About Her At Golden Globes
Taylor Swift gave Golden Globes host Jo Koy an awkward death stare after he made a joke about her.
The ‘Cruel Summer’ singer, 34, is undoubtedly one of the biggest celebrities in the world, who always finds herself in the public eye.
Whether this is her high-profile relationships – with her currently dating NFL star Travis Kelce – or being snapped out with her showbiz friends, Swift’s personal life always seems to be up for discussion.
This was evident at the Golden Globes when host and comedian Koy made a joke about her relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs player.

During his monologue, Koy mentioned how the Golden Globes aired shortly after an NFL match – where Swift has been constantly snapped since dating Kelce.
“The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? On the Golden Globes we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift,” Koy quipped.
The camera then cut to a shot of the ‘Love Story’ singer, who was not laughing and taking a sip of her drink while aiming a death stare at the stage – which prompted Koy to say ‘Sorry about that’.
The moment has quickly gone viral online, with Swifties quickly defending the pop star.
One person says: “Taylor can never catch a break, just let her breath please.”
“Even she was weirded the f*** out,” pens someone else.
A third adds: “Not even a Swifter but that was lame as hell.”
Another viewer writes: “This isn’t even funny, like nobody laughed at all.”
“Uncomfortable laughter. And using Taylor Swift in a joke that stopped being funny months ago was a cheap shot,” somebody else comments.

Koy’s hosting gig at the Golden Globes has been met with backlash – with one person on social media describing him as the ‘lowlight of the nights’.
Along with Swift, the comedian made jokes about Barbie, Barry Keoghn’s manhood – which has been a talking point since Saltburn came out – and Oppenheimer.
However, many of his jokes fell flat, with reports that some of his remarks were either met with awkward silence or even boos, as per Rolling Stone.
Controversially, Koy threw his writers under the bus when his beats didn’t land.
He told those in attendance: “Some I wrote, some other people wrote.
“Yo, I got the gig ten days ago! You want a perfect monologue? Shut up! You’re kidding me, right? I wrote some of these, and they’re the ones you’re laughing at.”
Posting on X (formerly known as Twitter), one viewer said: “The biggest lowlight of the night has to be Jo Koy, coming fresh off the monumental WGA strike, disgracefully throwing his writers under the bus.”
Another person said: “I feel like nobody was in charge of the golden globes and Jo Koy just walked in and said ‘I’m hosting’ and nobody bothered to check if that was right.”
A third adds: “This has to be the worst opening monologue (from Jo Koy) in Golden Globes history… is he trying to be Ricky Gervais?”
