Cher has opened up about her relationship with her boyfriend Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, who is 40 years her junior.
Cher, 77, is often referred to as the ‘Goddess of Pop’ and is known for tracks such as ‘Believe’, ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ and ‘Strong Enough’.
She’s one of the world’s best-selling music artists, having sold more than 100 million records.
Prior to meeting her current boyfriend, Cher had been married twice and she has two children: Chaz Bono, 54, and Elijah Blue Allman, 47.
The ‘Winner Takes It All’ singer has now opened up about her latest romance and how she truly feels about her partner.

Edwards, 37, is a music executive and he shares a son with Amber Rose – who is an American model and rapper.
Cher and Edwards’ relationship became social media official in 2022 when the icon posted a screenshot of the exec alongside his name and a red heart emoji.

When one fan expressed their concern about their romance, the legendary singer responded (via Glamour): “As we All Know…I WASN’T BORN YESTERDAY, & What I Know For Sure… There Are No Guarantees.
“Anytime you make a Choice You Take a Chance. I’ve Always Taken Chances… It’s WHO I Am.”
Throughout their relationship, the couple have made public appearances together and in an interview with People magazine, Cher admitted that she isn’t shocked by the attention their romance has received.
“Alexander’s got diamond teeth, tattoos, white hair, and he’s way younger,” she told the publication. “He’s a beautiful man. Also, I think it’s fun to be interested in somebody else’s love life!”
Cher and Edwards fell in love over text, which is something the ‘After All’ artist vowed that she would never do.
The Burlesque star recalled that after meeting the father-of-one ‘for about 15 minutes’ at Paris Fashion Week a year ago, she discovered that a mutual friend of the pair had given him the singer’s number.

“It was really shocking because people just don’t give out my number. I had been telling all my friends, ‘We’re too old to go out with really younger men, and I will never fall in love on text’. So I did what I said not to do!” Cher said.
The singer went on to gush that she broke her own rules as Edwards is ‘just so special’ and when it comes to the concerns surrounding their age-gap relationship, Cher insists she isn’t worried.
She explained: “No matter what happens, I love being with him. He makes me laugh, and we have fun.
“What I learned is that it’s never too late.”
