A child complained that she could hear ‘monsters’ in her bedroom walls, leading to her parents making a horrifying find.

Growing up, we all, at some point, thought we heard something creeping around in our bedrooms at night.

Our parents told us different things, sometimes simply letting us know there’s nothing there,  checking under our beds and in our wardrobes, and sometimes telling us that it’s just Santa making sure we’re behaving.

But, for one terrified toddler, what she thought was monsters in the bedroom was actually something much more alarming.

Uploading a video of the incident to TikTok – quickly gaining over a million views – one mother revealed the truly scary discovery she made in her daughter’s bedroom.

One person comments: “This is literally my worst nightmare.”

Another viewer shares: “Had this happen to my family. I felt the walls vibrating and my mom always blamed the laundry.”

“The way my house would be up for sale so fast and I would be outta there,” a third writes.

A fourth person says: “I would never be able to go to sleep in this house again.”

Speaking to People, Ashley Massis Class tried her best to assure her child that nothing was wrong after she said she could hear things in her bedroom.

She recalls: “She was saying she heard monsters in her bedroom wall, but we’d been watching Monster’s Inc.

“She was a little speech delayed, so when she tried explaining it, we thought she meant there were monsters in her closet.”

Class and her husband tried everything to reassure her, including giving her a spray bottle full of water that was her ‘monster spray’.

But over time, things got worse and she was refusing to sleep in her bedroom – opting to sleep with her mum and dad instead.

Initially, they thought she was ‘experiencing a little regression’ since Class had a baby just a few months before.

This is when a baby/toddler starts acting in a younger way – usually following the arrival of a younger sibling, as per UNICEF.

However, the couple soon began to notice something in their house which worried them.

Class and her husband noticed a few bees flying around their attic – which they initially didn’t think was overly suspicious as they lived in a 100-year-old farmhouse.

However, they decided it would be best to call pest control to make sure everything was OK. They informed the couple that they actually had honeybees residing in their attic – directly above her daughter’s bedroom.

The pair called a beekeeper who informed them they could not yet act as the bees had not actually entered the house.

But he did use a thermal camera to get a better look at the situation…

This is when they discovered the true horrors.

Class recollects: “At first, I thought it was a body. I was like, ‘What is that?’ and he says he thinks it’s a hive.

“He didn’t even have his bee gear on yet, but he took a hammer and knocked into the wall. Bees came swarming out like a horror movie.

“There were streams of bees, and the wall where he hit was oozing honey. But it looked like blood because it was really, really dark, running down my daughter’s pink walls. It looked really strange.”

The beekeeper acted fast and immediately got into his gear. He informed Class that they had to open up more of the wall to understand the true extent of the situation.

“He opened the wall and it was one of the biggest hives he’s seen in his 40-year career,” she shares. “Just 50,000 bees were swarming like crazy in my daughter’s bedroom. It was a nightmare. They were dropping honey everywhere, all over all her stuff.”

The beekeepers spent the next few days removing the bees and eventually managed to save them and transfer them to a bee sanctuary.

The parents made sure to let their daughter know what was happening and told her they were removing the monsters.

Class adds: “We told her, ‘We found the monsters, you were right’. Then we introduced her to the beekeeper and she was like, ‘No, he’s a monster hunter’.

“So she called him Mr. Monster Hunter for the rest of the day, which was awesome.”
