Ellen DeGeneres has been accused of ‘making a dig’ at Meghan Markle in her surprise interview.
After watching a preview of the chat on YouTube, many viewers took to social media and said they were convinced she was making subtle remarks about the Duchess of Sussex’s early acting career.
It all started when Markle recalled auditioning for roles at the Warner Bros. Studios, and how she was often wished luck by the security guards.

“I would park at Gate Three and scoot on over,” she said. “What was so nice is the security guards here would always say, ‘Break a leg! We hope you get it’.”
Commenting on how her life has dramatically changed since marrying Prince Harry, she added: “So to drive in today was very different.”
At this point, DeGeneres remarked: “You auditioned that often that they knew you to say ‘Break a leg?’”

Following the comment, people took to Twitter and shared their thoughts.
One person tweeted: “Did no one else notice the burn?‘You auditioned so often that the security guards who start wishing you luck?’”
In agreement, a second said: “Meghan slipped up there!”
However, some people argued that it’s common practice for actors to make regular auditions.
“It’s a fact of life when you are in that business, you clown!” one Twitter user commented. “You can literally every day if you are lucky.”
Others also remarked on how well and ‘happy’ Markle was looking in the interview preview.
One fan gushed: “Meghan, my darling, you look SO good.”
Another added: “I really love seeing Meghan glowing and happy. It’s what she deserves.”
