The Tesla co-founder has been labelled ‘disgusting’ after sharing an intimate photo of Amber Heard.
Elon Musk, 52, is one of the world’s wealthiest people and he’s known for expressing his views, which has made him a polarising figure.
Amber Heard, 37, is the ex-wife of Johnny Depp and she’s known for films such as Aquaman and The Rum Diary.
The X owner and Heard officially began dating in 2017 but broke up in the following year.
Musk has now taken to his social media platform (formerly known as Twitter) and shared a private photo of the actress, which has led to widespread criticism.

The image in question is from the time the pair were dating and it shows Heard in cosplay, which is the practice of dressing up as a character from a film, book or video game.
In the photo Musk has shared, the Zombieland star is dressed as the video game character Mercy from Overwatch.
The snap shows Heard looking down at the camera while donning a white costume, halo, wings and suspenders.
It remains uncertain whether the 52-year-old sought Heard’s consent to share the image, and the reason why he still has the photo of his ex-girlfriend remains a mystery.
Slamming Musk’s decision to share the photo, one person writes: “The things we deem OK or not OK is amusing. Most of us flex on the timeline in some shape or form, this one just happens to be… well, kind of extraordinary tbh.”
Another jokes: “This is why you can’t keep a girl, Elon.”
“Sorta goes without saying but Elon Musk tweeting out a photo of Amber Heard in cosplay for his weird fanboys to drool over is f***ing disgusting,” somebody else pens.
A fourth person shares: “Hopefully this was approved by her.. we don’t need another controversy.”

As reported by MailOnline, in Musk’s biography – titled ‘Elon Musk’ – it’s revealed: “He told her that she reminded him of Mercy, his favourite character in the video game Overwatch.
“So she spent two months designing and commissioning a head-to-toe costume so she could role-play for him.”
Responding to a tweet discussing the incident, Musk remarked: “She did dress up as Mercy. It was awesome.”
The bombshell Elon Musk biography debuted on September 12 and it is believed to provide an insight into the mind behind Musk and ‘make sense’ of the SpaceX CEO, as per Forbes.
