Woman Who Was Kidnapped And Put Up For Sale On The Dark Web Says She’s Lucky To Have Escaped
A woman who was kidnapped and put up for sale on the dark web says she’s lucky to have escaped.
Chloe Ayling, 25, is a model and reality TV star who is best known for her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in 2018.
The model also made headlines after being kidnapped in Milan, Italy, back in 2017.
Ayling has since spoken out about the terrifying ordeal, saying she believed she was going for a professional photoshoot arranged by her agent.

Unbeknownst to her agent, the meeting was orchestrated by Lukasz Herba, her kidnapper.
Ayling told This Morning: “I walked into the studio and there was just silence.
“Normally someone would greet you at the door but I just didn’t hear anything.
“Before I had time to process my thoughts, that’s exactly when the masked man put his arm around my neck and mouth… and another one came to the front of me and injected me in my wrists.”
The next thing Ayling knew, she was in the trunk of a car, bound and gagged with tape and handcuffs.

The model noticed an empty suitcase in the trunk, presumably intended for her.
For six days, Ayling was held captive in a farmhouse located two hours outside Milan.
During this time, she desperately tried to reason with her captors, hoping to convince them to release her.
The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of €300,000 ($324,500) and threatened to sell her as a s** slave on the dark web.
In an interview with Inside Edition, Ayling discloses that they claimed there was already significant interest in her sale.
Eventually, the model managed to persuade her kidnappers to let her go by revealing that she had a child waiting for her back home.
Six days after her disappearance, Ayling and her kidnapper appeared together at the Milan consulate.
Herba was subsequently sentenced to 16 years in prison, which was later reduced to five years and eight months in 2021.
In addition to enduring the trauma of her kidnapping, Ayling faced unwarranted accusations from the public, alleging that she had staged the incident for publicity.

To shed light on her story and the subsequent media frenzy, BBC Three announced plans to film a factual drama based on Ayling’s experience.
The series, made in collaboration with the model herself, aims to explore the details of her kidnapping that were not initially brought to light.
Expressing her excitement about the upcoming series, Ayling has expressed gratitude to BBC Studios for telling her story and revealing the truth behind her ordeal.
She praised the supportive conversations she had with Georgia Lester and the production team, emphasising her happiness that the series is being made.
