Psychological Thriller Hailed As ‘Better Than Breaking Bad’ Dubbed ‘Best Show Ever Made’
A psychological thriller that viewers claim is ‘better than Breaking Bad‘ has been dubbed the ‘best show ever’.
The groundbreaking drama series – starring Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul – ran from 2008 to 2013 and is regarded as one of the greatest TV shows of all time.
Following a chemistry teacher who turns to the world of crime after being diagnosed with cancer, Breaking Bad was hugely successive and racked up numerous awards – including 16 Emmy awards.
Despite finishing 10 years ago, the show has remained extremely popular – due to being available on Netflix as well as its spinoff series Better Call Saul.
But now viewers have found a show which they claim is better than Breaking Bad.

Mr. Robot follows the story of Elliot Alderson, a cyber-security engineer who becomes a hacker by night and suffers from social anxiety disorder, clinical depression and dissociative identity disorder.
The show stars Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody) and was created by Sam Esmail – who has just had recent success with his Netflix film Leave the World Behind.
Mr. Robot ran from 2015 to 2019 and was subject to much critical acclaim – earning a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
It also earned numerous awards including an Emmy award for Malek.
Despite finishing in 2019, the show has earned a cult following, with MovieWeb claiming that Mr. Robot’s theme of rising up against greed resonates with viewers.
This is highlighted by the social media reaction to the show, with viewers claiming that it is better than Breaking Bad.
In a post on X (previously known as Twitter) which asks users what their favourite show is, one person responded: “Mr. Robot. I’m thoroughly convinced that this is the best show I will ever watch in my lifetime. Nothing can top it.”
Someone else passionately says: “Just finished rewatching Mr. Robot because this might be the greatest show ever created on this f***ing planet because I wanna rewatch it over again and again man it’s even better than Breaking Bad.
“Sam Esmail and Rami Malek just take a bow. What geniuses. F***ing nailed it. What a masterpiece.”
A third pens: “People really sleeping on Mr. Robot or what?
“It’s the best show ever made and probably the best to come out in the last decade.”

Speaking to The Guardian, Esmail described Mr. Robot as a ‘period piece’ for modern society that is ‘heavily influenced by technology’.
He explained: “Facts are vulnerable and things you have come to rely on are no longer there.
“It’s an overlap that I’m not going to be so bold as to say I predicted, but that was what I was thinking about when I constructed the character of [protagonist] Elliot [Alderson].”
