McDonald’s Fans ‘Can’t Sleep At Night’ After ‘Devastating’ Adult Happy Meal Update
McDonald’s fans are saying they ‘can’t sleep at night’ after learning some ‘devastating’ news about the Adult Happy Meal.
The fast-food chain has collaborated with fashion brand Cactus Plant Flea Market and come up with some limited-edition packaged boxes.
However, they are only available in the US and UK customers aren’t happy about it.

Taking to Twitter, one fumed: “Sorry McDonald’s UK, where is my Adult Happy Meal?”
“Devastated that the new Adult Happy Meal at McDonald’s will not be making an appearance in the UK,” added another.
While a third said: “I know that a lot of probably don’t go for a McDonald’s as a go-to but I personally would love to see an adult Happy Meal in the UK!”
“Absolutely devastating,” someone else wrote. “I won’t sleep at night knowing I won’t get an Adult Happy Meal.”
A fifth commented: “This doesn’t make me HAPPY at all.”
Following the social media reaction, Manchester Evening News reached out to McDonald’s to see if the item would ever be available in the UK.

Sadly, a spokesperson for the fast-food chain told the news outlet: “We have no plans to roll this out in the UK.”
The McDonald’s Adult Happy Meal will be made up of either a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken Nugget set.
Just like the kids’ version, the meal comes with a collectable, which are named ‘Grimace’, ‘Birdie’, ‘Cactus Buddy’, and ‘the Hamburglar’.
It will be available for customers to order in-store, at the drive-thru and through the McDonald’s app.

In a press release for the McDonald’s Adult Happy Meal, Tariq Hassan, the USA Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, said: “We’re taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald’s experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that’s hyper-relevant for our adult fans.
“I can’t wait to give fans a unique piece of art and culture as we dive headfirst into the dynamic world of Cactus Plant Flea Market together next week.
“With menu favourites like the Big Mac and McNuggets at the centre of this collab, this is another way we’re reigniting a new generation’s love for our food and the brand.”

The press release adds: “Everyone remembers their first Happy Meal as a kid… and the can’t-sit-still feeling as you dug in to see what was inside. That little red box could turn a regular Tuesday into the best. day. ever. And now, we’re reimagining that experience in a whole new way – this time, for adults.”
On the McDonald’s website, the differences between the US and UK restaurants is mentioned.
It reads: “McDonald’s is a global brand. Each of the 122 countries we operate in all have different needs, cultures and expectations. This means that portion sizes may vary between countries, as will menu items, interior restaurant designs and packaging.”
The limited-edition McDonald’s collaboration drops nationwide in the US at 11am on October 3, 2022.
