A Gordon Ramsay restaurant diner has left a scathing review after their pricy meal left them ‘heartbroken’.

The Kitchens Nightmare star, 56, has an empire of restaurants including Gordon Ramsay’s Bar & Grill, Pétrus and Lucky Cat.

One of his most recognisable chains is his Bread Street eateries – which are scattered across the UK.

But one customer claims to have had an unpleasant experience when visiting the restaurant.

Check out these interesting facts about Gordon Ramsay below…

An anonymous customer has taken to Google Reviews after visiting Ramsay’s Bread Street restaurant in Liverpool and trying the Beef Wellington experience – which costs £110.

According to the website for Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, the Beef Wellington Experience is three courses, and is available to order for tables of 2-6 guests.

The diner, who booked a table for two, says they had been waiting to try it for ‘years’ but ended up having a ‘terrible experience’.

The review reads: “Terrible experience food was seriously overpriced and wasn’t of a very good standard paid for the beef wellington experience.”

Their order consisted of a starter to share – which was one piece of tuna, four chicken wings and a slither of beef.

This was followed by a main which consisted of four slices of beef wellington and one portion of mash.

Ending the night, they had a dessert to share of one chocolate fondant, one small cheesecake – without a biscuit base – and three scoops of ice cream.

Plus, they had three bottles of water.

In total, their meal came to a whopping £239.

“Total price £239 absolutely disgusting food was not done to any great standard if it was offered to me again for £40 I still wouldn’t return as it wasn’t nice,” the diner pens.

“Avoid this place unless ya like overpriced trash or burning cash. Heartbroken.”

This isn’t the first time a diner at one of Ramsay’s restaurants was left gobsmacked by the eyewatering prices.

Jeffrey Paige and his girlfriend visited Ramsay’s Atlantic City and had their eyes on the American Wagyu beef, which is known for its amazing texture and flavour.

However, things didn’t go to plan when Paige decided to try something else instead and he came across the ‘real deal’ Triple Seared Japanese A5 that he believed was at a bargain price.

Misreading the menu, he was under the impression that this cut was priced at $35 for four ounces, while the Wagyu was $84 for eight ounces.

However, the couple were left speechless when their bill came to a whopping $600 – which was absolutely a lot more than they had thought they were paying.

They went back to the menu and double-checked Paige had read it right but unfortunately realised that it was actually $35 per ounce, instead of every four ounces.
