Gordon Ramsay is charging £400 a head for a New Year’s Eve dinner at one of his London restaurants and this price doesn’t even cover the whole meal.
People are starting to make plans for how they want to bring in the new year as 2022 is coming to an end.
While some are choosing to go partying, others are planning to end the year at home with their families.
Another option is to go out for a nice dinner somewhere.
But if this is something you’re considering, one place that will definitely make a dent in your pockets is having a meal at one of Ramsay’s restaurants.
Interesting facts about Gordon Ramsay you didn’t know…
More surprisingly, this price is only the cost of the meal and does not include drinks.
Guests – who will need to conform to a smart dress code – will have a variety of choices to choose from on the menu, including duck tea, Orkney scallops, roast veal sweetbread, and Sladesdown farm duck.
The expenses don’t stop there though because if you fancy wine with your dinner, you’ll have to fork out an extra £275 for the optional ‘wine pairing’, reports The Mirror.
Potentially, this means dinner on New Year’s Eve could cost a whopping £675.
This isn’t the only one of Ramsay’s restaurants to be serving up a pricy meal as a New Year’s offering.
His restaurant Pétrus will also be providing a service.
The seven-course meal will cost £300 per person and includes menu items such as smoked eel and potato salad and roasted Anjou pigeon.
This isn’t the only menu of Ramsay’s that has made the news, as his Christmas menu will also cost you a mouthwatering amount.
At his restaurant, Pétrus by Gordon Ramsay, the chef has revealed that having Christmas dinner will set you back £275.
Similar to his New Year’s menu, this is only the cost of the meal and does not include drinks or the discretionary 15 per cent service charge.
On the menu, guests do have plenty of choices, including confit egg and lobster ravioli, followed by your choice of Dover sole or Cumbrian venison, plus Brillat-Savarin – which is a type of cheese – and sorbet and hazelnut soufflé.
Ramsay’s other eatery, The Savoy, is also providing a seven-course Christmas dinner, which will set diners back £275.
This menu includes lobster and shellfish cocktails, beef Wellington, and Dover sole.
Guests will also be treated to desserts such as Christmas pudding or Chestnut Mont Blanc.
But once again, the prices listed do not include the discretionary 15 per cent gratuity.
