Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe has revealed that he can actually do magic in real life.

The actor was speaking to It’s Gone Viral about his upcoming film Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, a ‘supposedly’ true story about the parody-song superstar, when he made the comment.

Sat with co-star Evan Rachel Wood, who plays Madonna in the movie, the pair were asked what was their ‘weirdest hidden talent’ that fans might not know about them.

This is when Radcliffe revealed that he’s a real-life wizard when it comes to magic tricks.

That’s right, Harry Potter himself is actually a real-life wizard.

When asked, Radcliffe responded: “I know a few magic tricks and some really good ones.

“I did one on my friend a while ago and he was like, ‘How have I never seen you do these?’

“I was like, ‘Because I don’t go around doing magic tricks for a very obvious reason’.

“But I did on the set learn so that is my hidden weird thing.”

Radcliffe’s role as Harry Potter instantly made him a star when he was cast as the wizard when he was 12 years old.

The Woman In Black actor starred in eight films over 10 years and the franchise grossed $7.7 billion worldwide.

While he has starred in a couple of blockbusters since then, such as Now You See Me 2 and The Lost City, he has mainly starred in smaller indie movies.

Radcliffe’s upcoming role as Weird Al Yankovic has been one of the most discussed performances of the year.

The biopic is a parody though as it is a satire reimagining Yankovic’s life.

It covers everything from jumping into bed with Madonna, to wearing his platinum records around his neck, to even meeting Pablo Escobar.

As the musician is known for poking fun at popular songs, it was only befitting for the film about him to mock other musical biopics.

An example of this is by having his parents not support his dreams when in real life Yankovic credited his dad for his success.

Radcliffe explained the pressures of playing the much-loved musician when speaking to Sky News.

He said: “There was something quite liberating for us about how different the people we’re playing are from their real-life counterparts.

“You know, if I had been walking off set, and it was a ‘Serious Al’ biopic, I’m sure I would have been looking at Al every time and being like, ‘Oh, is he happy with that?’

“Like, ‘Is that moment we’ve recreated alright?’.

“But, you know, when I’m walking down the table, letting loose with a machine gun, it definitely gives you a lot of licence to go, ‘We’re just we’re doing something crazy and different’.

“If somebody played me as a crazy person, I’d be delighted.”
