Heidi Klum’s underwear photo shoot with her teenage daughter has been branded ‘weird’.

America’s Got Talent judge Klum, 49, and her daughter Leni, 18, are facing a backlash after posing together for Italian lingerie brand Intimissimi.

Many are unhappy with the mother and daughter shoot, while TV presenter and model Ulrika Jonsson says it made her feel ‘uneasy’.

In her column for The Sun, Jonsson writes: “Is it just me, or has this now become a disconcerting thing?

Heidi Klum lookalike reveals her best ‘age-defying’ tricks…

“It feels like a bizarre, modern-day version of the days of Jane Austen when your daughter was paraded and boasted about – it was about grandstanding your genes while secretly and stealthily whispering, ‘Look what I’ve made’.

“It’s as if daughters have become the latest commodity to have and, indeed, to peddle.”

Klum, who has almost 10 million Instagram followers, captioned a post promoting the shoot: “Together with Intimissimi we celebrate women; the love and support between a mother and her daughter; and how confident, beautiful and happy lingerie can make you feel.”

She added: “Creative director ….my longtime friend Thomas Hayo.

“Thanks for making us feel confident all day singing and dancing in our Intimissimi Official.”

Also posting the pictures on Instagram, Intimissimi said: “Together Heidi Klum and Leni Klum celebrate The Art of Italian Lingerie.

“Like mother and daughter. Every woman has a special place in her heart for her favourite lingerie.”

In a follow-up post, the brand writes: “The idea behind the campaign is to show them how they truly are.

“The two represent the strong bond between mother and daughter.”

Despite the comments being turned off on Klum’s posts, people are reacting strongly to the campaign.

One person writes on Twitter: “Does anyone else think it’s kinda weird that Heidi Klum shot a lingerie campaign with her daughter?

“Seriously, imagine doing a photo shoot in lingerie with *your* mom.”

Another says: “Heidi Klum advertising lingerie with her freshly turned 18 y/o daughter is so weird.”

A commenter on Intimissimi’s post says featuring both mother and daughter was ‘disturbing’.

However, not everybody has leapt to criticise the photo shoot.

Defending it, one person writes: “They look gorgeous. What’s the problem?”

“What’s so disturbing? I’m confused,” adds a second.

A third says: “Beautiful and very classy. More skin is shown in bathing suits, her daughter is 18… legal.

“They’re both gorgeous and the only reason for the negative comments is 100 per cent pure jealousy!”

Leni, who turned 18 in May, is the biological daughter of Klum and Italian multi-millionaire businessman Flavio Briatore, 72.

He is not involved in Leni’s life, though.

She was adopted by Klum’s second husband, ‘Kiss From A Rose’ singer Seal, 59.

While Klum and Seal went through a divorce in 2012 – eventually finalised in 2014 – she has always maintained that he is Leni’s father and that the pair remain close.
