Jennifer Lopez’s child has come out as non-binary.

The ‘Jenny From The Block’ singer, 54, is one of the most instantly recognisable celebrities in the world.

Be it her hit songs or leading roles in films like Hustlers and Marry Me, she’s never too far from the headlines.

But it’s also J-Lo’s personal life that keeps us invested in her.

And now, it’s a child of Lopez’s who has shared a heartwarming update.

The ‘On The Floor’ singer has two children, twins she shares with salsa singer and songwriter Marc Anthony.

Lopez’s 16-year-old twins, Maximilian ‘Max’ David Muniz and Emme Maribel Muniz, were welcomed in February 2008.

“It’s unconditional love,” she told People at the time. “I know everybody feels this way about their kids, but I just feel like they’re super special. I can’t wait to see what they do.”

Lopez’s twins are part of an extended family following her marriage to Ben Affleck in July 2022.

Affleck shares three kids, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

It seems as though all of the stepsiblings get along, with Lopez telling Vogue Latin America: “The transition is a process that needs to be handled with so much care. They have so many feelings. They’re teens.”

The ‘Let’s Get Loud’ singer continued: “But it’s going really well so far. What I hope to cultivate with our family is that his kids have a new ally in me and my kids have a new ally in him, someone who really loves and cares about them but can have a different perspective and help me see things that I can’t see with my kids because I’m so emotionally tied up.”

But as her children have grown up, Lopez has also opened up about how she has adapted her parenting style for teens.

The ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ artist told People: “They’re venturing out, they’re being their own people and it’s us just trying to keep up.

“That’s the journey of it [and] another path you have to go own. It’s a joy for me.”

“The teenage years are tough,” Lopez added in an interview on Live with Kelly and Mark. “It’s challenging. You have this baby for a while and then it’s like, your best little friend who loves being with you all the time, and then all of a sudden it’s like, ‘Get out of my room’.”

“They are challenging everything you say and everything you do and everything you are, and that’s what it is,” she continued. “You have to kind of just ride the waves.”

Emme is following in their mum’s footsteps as a singer and a performer.

In fact, they often perform alongside the ‘Ain’t It Funny’ singer, including during her groundbreaking Super Bowl halftime show in 2020.

“My lil’ coconut gave me all the energy I needed to go out there…,” Lopez wrote on her Instagram story at the time.

“I just don’t overthink it,” the 16-year-old told People. “I get up there and do it.”

And now, at another performance with Lopez, it seems Emme has come out as non-binary.

One fan writes: “It’s beautiful to see her supporting her child.”

A second adds: “Awww, JLo respecting the pronouns.”

“The best parents love and support their kids – go JLO and Emme!” a third agrees.

Lopez invited her child to join her on stage during a Los Angeles performance – and fans noticed she used non-binary pronouns to refer to Emme.

Lopez told the crowd: “The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won’t. So this is a very special occasion.”

“They are very, very busy, booked and pricey,” she joked, adding: “They cost me when they come out. But they’re worth every single penny because they’re my favourite duet partner of all time. So if you will indulge me.”

Emme also used a rainbow microphone during the performance.
