A woman who sat next to Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck at the Grammy Awards has shared what they really spoke about.

The prestigious music ceremony always attracts attention, for better or worse.

From Sam Smith’s ‘satanic’ performance to Chris Brown kicking off on social media after losing out on an award, there has been plenty of talking points.

But a particularly tense moment between newlyweds Lopez, 53, and Affleck, 50, has really caught the eye of viewers, with many left wondering what really happened between the pair.

Well, now there is first-hand evidence as to what the couple were actually saying to each other.

If you aren’t familiar with what happened, Affleck is seen whispering into his wife’s ear only for her to appear to snap back at him.

The Justice League star then frowns and straightens up his vest and his posture, before the couple quickly realise their interaction has been caught on camera.

Lopez then tries to cover up the moment as host Trevor Noah sits next to her, but the moment has quickly gone viral.

Many are speculating what the couple was talking about, and a lip reader has even weighed in on the matter.

They claim that Lopez was telling her husband to ‘look more friendly’.

While a TikToker says she was a ‘seat-filler’ at the Grammys and she was seated right next to Affleck.

The TikTok user, who goes by the name @almostanna, says in her viral clip: “I sat next to Ben Affleck at the Grammys.

“Me and my seat filler friend Jake and Ben Affleck were right there.

“I was next to them for a good bit, that was my favourite seat because I was right in front of Beyoncé.”

The TikToker recalls how she wasn’t aware of the Affleck meme but did say she didn’t speak to him as he didn’t look particularly happy.

She continues: “We also didn’t talk to them because Ben Affleck didn’t look happy so I didn’t want to talk to him and be like, ‘Oh my God, Good Will Hunting is one of my favourite movies! You’re my hero’.

“I was just so lucky to be next to them!

“The whole time they were cute and s***… JLo showed Ben Affleck the phone and was like, ‘Oh my God, honey, look at this meme circulating about you’.

“And he was like, ‘Oh God, this again’. Like, he knew during the performance that he was a meme!

‘Like, he knew, and he also chose just not to change his expression! Like I love how unbothered that is!

“So I know that she was like on her phone and saw it and was like, ‘Honey, this is so funny, look at this’ and he was like, ‘Jesus Christ’.”

Despite their interaction being viewed as a dispute between the pair, the TikTok user claims that they were holding hands for most of the night and were acting ‘super cute’.

The A-listers got together in 2021 and then tied the knot in July 2022.

Affleck and Lopez had previously dated back in 2002 while filming opposite one another in the film Gigli – which was released in 2003.

The pair announced their engagement at the end of the year but called things off in January 2004.
