Jesy Nelson is on Simon Cowell’s ‘wishlist’ to become an X-Factor judge when the show returns in 2022.
A source reportedly told The Sun that hiring the former Little Mix star is a ‘no brainer’ for the music mogul, due to the fact it’s where she started out.
They said: “It’s a no-brainer for Simon to have someone as successful as Jesy, who the show made, back on the panel.

“She knows the ups and downs of the music industry inside out, and what it takes to be a successful popstar.”
The producers are keen to ‘breathe new life’ into the show, so a celebrity like Jesy is an obvious choice.
Previously, Jesy has appeared as a judge on Little Mix: The Search, which aired on BBC One last year.
Shortly after the series ended, the singer quit the band after nine years in the line-up.
She released a statement at the time revealing that she wanted to focus on her mental health.
Since parting ways with the ‘Confetti’ band, Jesy has been working on new music and is gearing up to launch her solo career. So we wouldn’t be surprised to see her join the judging panel.
Simon will of course return as head judge and it’s unclear who will fill the other two seats.
The show has been on a three-year break due to the pandemic but show bosses are keen to bring it back with a bang.
