John Cena has explained why he’ll never have kids.
The Peacemaker star, 46, has starred in some of the biggest action films of the last few years including Fast and Furious 9, The Suicide Squad and Bumblebee.
He is also known for being one of the most successful WWE superstars of all time – having held the WWE Championship a tied record 16 times.
Younger fans have long adored Cena and he even holds the Guinness World Record for being the most-requested celebrity by kids at the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Despite his popularity, Cena has never been focused on having children of his own.
And now, he’s revealed his reason why.
Appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show, the host asked him if his perspective on being a father has changed since he got married to Shay Shariatzadeh in 2020 – adding that he would be ‘the world’s greatest father’.
While the Trainwreck actor thanked Barrymore for her comment, he simply says that he ‘enjoys’ his life.

He explains: “I have been riding a lightning bolt for quite some time now.
“I have been given opportunities to do some things that man, I didn’t even dream of, and I had some pretty lofty dreams.
“It’s hard work. It’s hard work to balance the time. I need to run myself correctly.
“It’s hard work to be the best partner and husband I can be to my loving wife.
“It’s hard to keep connections with those in my life who I love, and it’s also hard to put in an honest day’s work.”
Cena then shares how even though he loves spending time with children and is good with them, he doesn’t have the passion to be a father.
He continues: “You have to have passion for it. You have to have a fuel for it.
“It’s like saying to somebody, ‘Hey, you’re pretty good with your hands, you’d be a great carpenter’.
“But if I want to be an actor, I’ll be an actor.”
Despite not wanting kids, the Blockers star adds that he still loves doing Make-a-Wish and gets ‘flipped’ whenever he is asked to do it – as families are specifically asking for him.
Prior to tying the knot with Shariatzadeh, he was engaged to fellow WWE superstar Nikki Bella – who he proposed to at Wrestlemania after they won a mixed tag team match.
However, Bella called off the engagement after she reportedly wanted children.

Speaking on the Better Together with Maria Menounos podcast, Bella said she didn’t want him to ‘regret’ having kids with her.
She explains: “Even in the end when he was willing to give me kids, I could just tell it’s not what we wanted.
“And that’s really, like, you know, what pushed me in the end, was like, if I’m going to force someone to be a father.”
