Keanu Reeves has said that he’s ‘been married to Winona Ryder for 30 years’.
The Matrix star opened up about filming Bram Stoker’s Dracula back in 1992, in which he and Ryder’s character tied the knot using a ‘real priest’.
Chatting to Esquire last year, Reeves said: “We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests. Winona says we are. Coppola says we are. So I guess we’re married under the eyes of God.”

It’s not just the actor who is convinced they’re married, as Ryder has also discussed the matter.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, she said: “We actually got married in Dracula. No, I swear to God, I think we’re married in real life.
“In that scene, Francis [Ford Coppola, the film’s director] used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So I think we’re married.”
Over the years, Ryder has gone on to say many positive things about Reeves, including how he treated her on the set of the film.
The actress told The Sunday Times that at one point, Coppola was encouraging the star to call out abuse to her, in order to make her cry for a more realistic portrayal.
“To put it in context, I’m supposed to be crying,” she told the publication. “Literally, Richard E Grant, Anthony Hopkins, Keanu… Francis was trying to get all of them to yell things that would make me cry. But Keanu wouldn’t, Anthony wouldn’t… It just didn’t work. I was, like, really? It kind of did the opposite.”
Ryder said that despite this alleged incident, she and the director are ‘good now’.
