Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’ lyrics are actually very rude and people are only just realising.
The hit song, released in 2008, topped the charts in 20 countries around the world including the US, the UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
It is now one of the most successful singles of all time, having sold more than 14 million copies.
But despite its huge success, fans are only just realising that we have been singing it wrong this whole time.

For years, we’ve all been singing the catchy words ‘Po-po-po-poker face, po-po-po-poker face (Mum-mum-mum-mah)’.
The chorus seems simple and innocent enough, but the actual lyrics are much more explicit than we realised.
The real words to ‘Poker Face’ are actually: ‘Po-po-po-poker face, fu-fu-f*** her face (Mum-mum-mum-mah), Po-po-po-poker face, fu-fu-f*** her face (Mum-mum-mum-mah)’.
Many fans have now taken to social media to share their reactions after finding out the real lyrics.

Even though her fans are only just realising what the real words are, Lady Gaga herself has never actually denied the explicit lyrics.
In fact, she even made a small nod at them during a performance.
When the ‘Shallow’ singer was playing at iHeartRadio Wango Tango, an annual concert held by the US radio station KIIS FM, she admitted on stage that the station was the only one to actually censor the song correctly.

Speaking to the audience, Lady Gaga said: “KIIS FM is the smartest radio station in the whole world and I’ll tell you why.
“Because this song, it got played all over the world on tens of thousands of radio stations, but KIIS FM was the only one that said I had to censor my lyric because they thought I might be saying something bad.
“And out of all the radio stations in the world that played this record over and over, KIIS FM was the only one that was right and caught on.”
