A woman who has covered her entire body in tattoos to become a ‘vampire’ has issued a warning to anyone who plans to follow her lead.

You may be familiar with ‘Black Alien‘ – a viral sensation who has both tattooed and modified his body, including carving a word into his head.

Or you might have heard about the dad who spent almost $100,000 on tattoos.

But have you heard of María José Cristerna, a Mexican woman who is known for her extreme modifications and dedication to inking her body?

Cristerna, who got her first tattoo when she was 14 years old, has made headlines for her distinctive appearance, which has led to her being called a ‘real-life vampire’.

She’s had forehead and arm implants, a split tongue, various piercings and an impressive array of inkings covering almost her whole body – including her eyeballs.

Cristerna’s dedication to modifying her body actually led to her earning a place in the Guinness World Record in as the most modified female in the world.

She shared with Guinness World Records: “In the beginning, my dad didn’t agree with the idea. But after that, he took me to the tattoo studio to get my very first tattoo.”

The tattoo lover added that her love for art is what has inspired her to get inkings, explaining: “Art runs through my veins. Since I was a little kid, I loved art, and now I can express it through my body.”

When celebrating her Guinness World Records title, Cristerna defiantly said: “You always can reach your goals. There are no limits. Nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it.”

She would also reveal that eventually, she plans to cover her entire body in inkings, stating: “I don’t care what people think about me.”

Cristerna credits her transformation to a decade-long marriage marked by repression, sharing that she wants to stand for women who have suffered similar emotional, psychological, and physical abuse.

“The only way to escape from violence and abuse is by loving yourself. We came to this world to be happy,” she commented.

While Cristerna’s modifications intend to serve as personal symbols of courage, strength, and freedom from her past, she’s admitted it’s not been smooth sailing.

Apparently, her most painful procedures have been eye pigmentation and the implants she had put into her arms – which leads to Cristerna’s warning.

For anyone who is considering a drastic transformation, the body mod lover says: “…think about it a lot as it is irreversible.

“I love the way I look, but you have to understand that there are young people who are very open to tattoos and piercings and everything. It’s become fashionable, so we might get to a point where it’s not what we want anymore, and we might not like it anymore.”

Cristerna stresses that you need to be able to ‘defend it your whole life’ before making the decision.

While she adds over on YouTube (via Daily Star): “If I feel well and my health allows it, I’ll carry on doing it.”
