The streaming platform is known for its extensive collection of successful titles, spanning from mainstream blockbusters to hidden gems.

Devoted crime-thriller fans have recently discovered a gripping new movie on Netflix, and it’s undeniably making a lot of noise on social media.

The film is directed by Grant Singer, recently premiered on the streaming platform.

Following its debut on the streaming platform, numerous viewers have flocked to social media and heaped praise on this spine-tingling murder mystery.

One X (formerly known as Twitter) user was quick to share their opinion of the new movie, writing: “Such a perfect crime thriller movie. Looking forward to more not just music videos but movies from you Grant Singer.”

“Just watched and I’m blown away! A gripping thriller with a well-crafted plot, stellar performances by Benicio Del Toro, Justin Timberlake, and Eric Bogosian, and stunning cinematography,” added a second user. “Highly recommend to all thriller fans.”

While a third user quipped: “Just watched. Intense film starring Benicio Del Toro and a really great cast. Del Toro carries the film and it’s a slow burn to the climax. It’s good cop, dirty cops. A+ way up.”

Somebody else commented: “Loved this movie! Keep them coming please! I’ll watch anything with Benicio Del Toro in it. Justin Timberlake and Alicia Silverstone were also great as were the other actors you cast.”

“A fantastic movie. Arguably one of the best from Netflix this year,” a fifth person wrote.

While people on social media have heaped praise on the film, it’s only scored a score of 44 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes, with critique surrounding the plotline.

Reptile is now available to stream on Netflix.
