Karoline Leavitt Makes Unexpected Career Move With Erika Kirk After Opening Up About ‘Regrets’
Karoline Leavitt has made an unprecedented career move alongside Erika Kirk after opening up about her ‘regrets.’
The White House press secretary has announced a huge career move after being elected into her highly regarded role when Donald Trump was inaugurated in January 2025.
The 28-year-old also served as Trump’s campaign spokeswoman during the run up to the 2024 general election.
Before stepping up to the all-important role, the president stated that Karoline would ‘excel at the podium and help deliver our message to the American People as we Make America Great Again.’
He added: “Karoline is smart, tough, and has proven to be a highly effective communicator.”
Karoline Leavitt’s rise to the White House
Karoline was the youngest of three children in her family, who owned an ice cream stand and a truck dealership in New Hampshire.

She studied communications and political science at Saint Anselm College, where she interned at Fox News and in Trump’s White House press office during his first term.
Through these experiences, Karoline said that she got her ‘first glimpse into the world of press.’
Shortly after graduating in 2019, she gained experience working for the first Trump White House, first as a speechwriter, and then as assistant press secretary.
Her website states: “I helped prepare Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany for high-pressure briefings [and] fought against the biased mainstream media.”
The 28-year-old then decided to run for congress, where she met her future husband.

She shared the news of her engagement to Nicholas Riccio, a real estate developer who happens to be 32 years her senior, in December 2023.
And now, she’s the youngest White House press secretary in US history, with one little boy, and is currently pregnant with a baby girl.
Karoline’s friendship with Charlie Kirk
Karoline and Charlie were similar ages, and rose within the conservative political ecosystem.
Charlie built Turning Point USA when he was just 18, encouraging young conservatives to launch political careers, and Karoline emerged from that same generation of young conservatives.
After his death, Karoline publicly said that the MAGA figure inspired her as a young conservative voice and helped encourage her political career.

Speaking on Fox News, she revealed the final conversation the two shared prior to his public assassination on a university campus in Utah.
“My last text exchange with him was the day before he died and he was asking for my husband and I’s address to send a children’s book to our son,” she said.
“And I think that just speaks to the type of person that he was. Many of us at the White House are going to miss him very much.”
New career move alongside Erika Kirk
The press secretary is teaming up with Erika, the wife of late right-wing activist, to give a talk about ‘free speech’ at a college as part of a nationwide tour for TPUSA.
The tour will begin at George Washington University on April 2, with Karoline as the first special guest.
The announcement comes days after Karoline shared a post about regrets on her Instagram.

She wrote: “Things you’ll never regret: Praying, putting your phone down, listening over talking, calling your mom, reading the bible.
“Investing in memories, being thankful, forgiving others, forgiving yourself, giving a compliment, drinking more water, saying ‘I love you,’ and trusting god.”
Erika was appointed the CEO of Turning Point after the brutal death of her husband.
The event’s website states: “Each stop is a chance to honor Charlie’s mission and keep the fight alive.
“We know he wouldn’t want us to surrender or be coerced into silence.
“Free speech is only free if we use our voice.”
